**A little bit about my story👩🏼‍💻
My whole life I dreamed of being successful & I always knew it was only a matter of time. Basketball was my first love, but my senior year when the offers came in I wasn’t satisfied. I felt like I was selling myself short and I was supposed to do something bigger. I wanted to live in a bigger city that offered me the career growth and opportunities I wanted.

Unfortunately one week, before I was supposed to leave for UTC I was told I couldn’t go. I became financially independent at the age of 18. & I was hungrier than ever. I worked 12 hour shifts at a small bar in my hometown & moved myself to Murfreesboro at 19. I worked countless jobs (7 in total) and struggled more than you could ever imagine, but I knew it was temporary and the life on the other side of the mountain would be worth it.

I applied for office positions for almost a year and one place decided to take a chance on me with no experience because of a leadership position I previously held in the serving industry. It was a smaller position but I knew the was the start of life I wanted.

I relentlessly clawed my way into every opportunity that was presented to me and figured out how to do more with less. I never had the chance to take in person classes.Because of finances I learned to strategically take breaks from school in order to utilize that time to get ahead in my career, without having to go into debt & take out student loans.

No one taught me how to do climb the ladder, how to be professional, or how to do more with less. I owe that all to myself. I did all this without an internship, student loans, or guidance.

I’m proud to say that I’m now 22 & still working towards my degree in business with a minor in data analytics, while working towards getting my real estate license, while running a nonprofit, and while working a full time office position.

I’m no where close to life I’ve dreamed of, but I have a great start! The only person you need in life, is you.

We believe every child deserves access to the resources, guidance, and support needed to reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances.
