Big congrats to @coolhandluke54 on being included in the new class of @foodandwine Best New Chefs, so well deserved. Ate at @josephinesgulfcoast a few times and this is most of what we ate, forgot to photograph it all. Had to actively push ourselves to try some other spots while in town, but if we lived here we’d be regulars. Such a fun vibe and the food is killer, reach out to @chefjohnmanion if you don’t believe me. You love seeing great things happen to great people, and Luke and Josephine’s deserve all the attention they are getting.

Headed to Houston last week for @southernsmokefoundation and started off the trip with dinner at @junhtx from @chefevelyngarcia and @chefhenrylu , and guest maître d’ @cheftristenepps . We had with our friends @flavour.enhancer.621 and the instagramless Paul Carmichael, and we left Chef Paul in charge of ordering, which can leave you short on vegetables but heavy on tasty treats. We ended up having most of the à la carte menu and a few dishes from the tasting menu that Paul was able to get the kitchen to send out. Food was excellent, so was the company. A great meal to start the trip.

Been fans of Evelyn and Henry since they were both on seasons of @bravotopchef and this meal did not disappoint. Had a lovely evening chatting with all the chefs, sorry we didn’t get a picture with Evelyn but she was the 3rd chef from @bravotopchef Season 19 that @kathrynmurphy8 and I have dined with in the last month or so along with @browndamarr at @virtuerestaurantchi and @chefwelch at @umbotraversecity

Highly recommend @junhtx if in Houston.

Why spend an entire month completing the #grandflamm when you can do it in a day? Spent a wonderful Saturday this weekend in the city visiting @bartuttochicago @blvdchicago @rosemarychicago @ilcarciofochicago to eat all of @insta.flamm ‘s delicious food. The 20 picture limit didn’t allow for every dish but needless to say it was a day full of flavor and fun! Friday night in Boston, we checked out a second @jamiebiss joint for the day, this time with dinner at @somaekboston which is his ode to his Korean mother-in-law’s cooking.

Flavors were abound starting right of the bay with some delicious banchan. @kathrynmurphy8 loves snacking on pickles and veg, she was a big fan. Big thanks to the team for guiding us through the menu, helping us select some great dishes. Really loved the sashimi, noodles and pancake; and the wild mushroom soup was incredible!

The place was packed and now we know why, the flavors keep echoing in our minds long after dinner. Love everything about the space, including the artwork.

Scored a new hat for the restaurant hat collection. Already planning to eat here again when we are back in Boston. Can’t speak highly enough of the hospitality from the team here, and across the restos from @jamiebiss

First brunch in Boston a few weeks back, had way too much delicious dishes at @myersandchang

We love ourselves a dim sum so we ordered quite a bit to try as much as we could. @kathrynmurphy8 can never pass up deviled eggs. There were no misses including a few gifts from the kitchen. Dumplings, spicy papaya salad, and the cucumbers were highlights, we snacked on many leftovers at the hotel over the next few days.

Big thanks to the team for excellent service and for the signed cookbook as a gift. Thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the counter watching the kitchen work. Can see why this is a Boston institution. We will be back.

There were so many buildings and statues in Boston that I could have several posts, but I’ll keep it to one. What is not to love about @williesboston ? The new pizza and pasta spot from @jamiebiss was one place we found ourselves dropping into again and again when in Boston. Tried basically everything and there were no misses.

A great selection of charcuterie, a bevy of terrific small plates which we sampled all of (@kathrynmurphy8 loves the over dressed celery caesar that @jamiebiss has developed), indulgent and delicious pastas, and great Connecticut style pizzas.

Had a great time eating and chatting with Jamie on our visits to this newish spot from him. Lovely little space with patio seating outside and a view of the kitchen and Jamie pumping out pies. Such a fun spot, with great food, a Bulldog mascot on a motorcycle, and top notch service and hospitality. Can’t recommend it highly enough, we can’t wait to go back!

Had a lovely long weekend in Louisville along with some adventures outside the city to see @hollyhillinn and some bourbon trail stops! Little did I know so many places would have souvenir glass add ons for the upcoming derby (which I always said yes to… shocker). Such a fun city with beautiful drives, amazing restaurants, and such delightful people! If you haven’t been… I’d add it to the list! taken in Louisville, Kentucky by @kammman33

Was great to be back at @quarteracredallas again after @gavinkaysen turned us on to this beautiful gem of a restaurant from @tobyarchibald who worked with Gavin at Cafe Boulud.

Tony combines his native New Zealand with local Texas ingredients to build a flavorful mash up of cuisine. The lamb, obviously, was a hit. We did the tasting menu, lots of nice spring ingredients, including some nice white asparagus. The beef tartare is always a show stopper. You never know who is watching haha.

Make sure to visit Toby, @uss_fergy and the team if you are in the area; great food and a beautiful space. And congrats for their well deserved addition to the TX @michelinguide
