Character concept I designed for the world of Gachiakuta — inspired by David Hinds, lead singer of Steel Pulse.
I created this piece using the XP-PEN Artist 12 3rd, a super comfortable and lightweight tablet I recently tested ✍🏽✏️🎨🔥

I’ve been testing the XP-PEN Artist 12 3rd, and I was honestly surprised by how comfortable it feels to draw on ✨

It’s super light, which makes it really pleasant to handle.
It’s not a standalone tablet — it needs to be connected to a PC — but it’s an amazing tool for digital art nonetheless.

The screen feels great to draw on: the film gives it a soft, paper-like texture that reduces reflections.
That’s perfect for me since I usually work with my screen almost vertically (my neck wouldn’t survive otherwise 😅).

Lines feel incredibly smooth, the colors are vibrant, and the 1080p resolution looks sharp and detailed even on this compact display.

I couldn’t personally test the included stand because of my setup, but it’s very stable and well built.

For this test, I created a character concept inspired by the manga Gachiakuta, based on David Hinds, lead singer of the legendary reggae band Steel Pulse 🎶🔥

Overall, it’s a comfortable, precise, and lightweight tablet that I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a solid balance between display quality and drawing comfort 💻🖊️
