She Moves Culture is our platform within KJD for exactly this, for women to show out, be challenged, and be celebrated. We battle. We compete. And we back each other. throwback to my interview on @kfmza with @djreadyd a while ago. We were speaking about balancing a 9-5 while building Kan Jy Dans. It requires a lot from you, and it is sacrifice, you’re building systems as you go, learning as you go. Sharing for anyone else doing both, it’s not easy but it’s possible when you have people in your corner. by @kanjydans

🌹 SHE MOVES CULTURE 2026 | WOMEN’S MONTH 🌹 A night of movement, expression, battle and community, created in celebration of women in dance. From the moment the doors opened, the space came alive. Cyphers, conversations, music, battles, laughter and women showing up fully as themselves. She Moves Culture is about creating spaces where women can step into the circle, challenge themselves, connect with one another and be celebrated for who they are and how they move. Thank you to every dancer, judges - @tayane_lee & @gitagalina , Battle Guests - @ryn.jamani & @nina9petersen , DJ- @beukes.caleb_ , volunteer, supporter and person who shared in this experience with us. You helped make the space what it was. A special thank you to our brand supporters @the_mat_guys and @powerbush_drinks for helping us bring this experience to life. This is what She Moves Culture looked and felt like. 🌹 Celebrating women. Creating space. Building culture. And we’re only getting started. 👑 #shemovesculture #KanJyDans #kjd #WomensMonth #womenindance taken in The Novalis Ubuntu Institute by @kanjydans
