didn’t drown this time

not to be cliché, but anything really is possible when you just sign yourself up for a seemingly unachievable goal, tell everyone, and let the fear of embarrassment fuel you

the last pics are from when I nearly drowned at my first 70.3 Ironman in September & my heart rate walking thru the ironman village the 2nd time in December

I had a shitty day
1 — Work sucked
2 — Broke my table while trying to fix it
3 — Almost got assaulted
4 — 2/2 suggestions to show a friend around the city failed

But I’m super grateful that I’m able to look at this shitty day and realize:
- I am able-bodied
- I have an amazing community
- I’m already winning by “smiling in trouble, gathering strength from distress, and growing brave via reflection” - Thomas Paine

But i had to solidify the🖕to yesterday by making today personal. 9mi run, 1k yard swim. Earned it today.

I can’t believe this coffee loving dood turned 21. Seems like yesterday we were playing MW2 everyday after school (cuz I had no friends) or I was pulling the “special controller” trick.
