Every day, humanity produces more than five million tons of waste. Only small amounts can be recycled, the rest ends up on garbage dumps, in nature and oceans. The films in this collection deal with rubbish and the consequences it has on our ecosystems, animals and humans and how it inevitably inscribes itself into our planet.

Kwibuka means remembrance, unity, renewal and fighting Genocide denial.

Kwibuka, honours the memory of more than one million Rwandans who died in the hundred days of the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994. Kwibuka asks the world to come together to support the survivors of the Genocide and to ensure that such an atrocity can never happen again – in Rwanda or elsewhere.
