Today is a very special day for Kantine ❣️

Scandinavian Everyday, is officially out in the world.

This book brings the food, philosophy, and recipes that have shaped Kantine from the very beginning, and we are so proud to see it make its way into home kitchens everywhere.

A huge congratulations and thank you to the incredible team behind the book: photographers @mdecoudreaux and @vangsterama, food and prop stylist @giofrankie, prop assistant @madge.food, recipe developers and testers @rosamajholm @lbbarry @kim_laidlaw @uqbarthecafe, the entire team at @tenspeedpress, @cowlesagency, and everyone who helped bring these recipes to life.

And thank you to our own amazing Kantine team, past and present, for helping build the community and spirit behind this book every day.

Get ready for Swedish Cinnamon Bun Day 🇸🇪☕️

We’ve updated the Swedes in the States’ Big Guide to Scandinavian Bakeries in the U.S., featuring 40+ bakeries, cafés and Nordic spots around the country.

From cardamom buns in New York to princess cakes in California, Chicago, Minnesota, Florida and beyond, there are plenty of places to get a little taste of Scandinavia without crossing the Atlantic.

Today is such an exciting day! It's the official start of the second leg of my book tour - bringing Scandinavian Everyday to more cities, kitchens, and tables.

First up, I'll be Ferry Plaza Farmers Market TODAY for a Foodwise @foodwise cooking demo at 11am, so if you're in the area, swing through for a taste.

Next month I'll be heading east for a few more fabulous dates in a few more magical cities. First up, my old stomping ground in Boston, then on to New York City, Chicago, St. Paul, and Minneapolis. Cannot wait to talk about life, love, and of course food.

Swedish Cinnamon Bun Day is coming up on Sunday, October 4, and we’ve just opened up for pre-orders for Saturday AND Sunday so everyone has even more time to celebrate. ❤️ Head to our online store to reserve yours.

Please be aware that there will be a limit on the number of cinnamon buns that can be purchased in-person (and without pre-order) during the weekend.

NOW HIRING: Part-time barista ☕️

We’re looking for a friendly, experienced barista to join our team.

We’re seeking someone who has experience with espresso drinks from a restaurant or specialty coffee-shop setting. And someone who brings a warm, positive attitude and enjoys starting the day bright and early.

This is a daytime role for 3 or 4 shifts per week, including weekends. Typical shifts run from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Speaking about summertime Scandinavian foods on The Splendid Table podcast @splendidtable, I just couldn’t not mention one of my favorite desserts: Rød Grød med Fløde, or Red Fruit Porridge with Cream.
