Kuching & Damai 🇲🇾 | Wild Food, Strong Coffee & Jungle Living 🌿☕🍶

Eating our way through Borneo! From traditional Dayak pansuh and fresh seafood to wild jungle greens- midin and manicai. 🐟🌱

Then came tempoyak with petai — fermented durian meets stink beans! Mariusz bravely tried it, unleashing the Asian hidden deep inside his Polish soul. Pungent doesn't even begin to describe it!

Amazing local Sarawak Liberica coffee, coffee-infused kobusah and a little bottel of tuak to keep things interesting. ☕🍶

Nights spent swimming under the stars, sweating it out in a forest sauna and waking up in our quirky jungle culvert retreat. 🌳✨

A room full of Malaysia’s sharpest business minds. And we were invited to be part of the conversation.

Earlier this week we were at the Alliance Bank BizSmart®️ Business Conference 2026 at W Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Third edition, themed “From Local Champions to National Icons”. Carmen was on the panel as a speaker, representing KANTIN, and quietly, the only one representing Sarawak on that stage.

I sat there taking it all in, genuinely grateful to be in a space like this. Conversations are real, the entrepreneurs are generous with their stories, and you realise that what you’re carrying, all the uncertainties, the struggles, the quiet doubt, the tough decisions, the pivot… is not yours alone. Everyone in that room understands it.

As a young entrepreneur still figuring things out, I needed this more than I realised. Left the place feeling less alone, and more certain of where I’m heading.

Thank you Alliance Bank for having us. Truly.
