Blue Corner Promotions is proud to announce the signing of undefeated 19-year-old prospect Otabek “Bek” Melikov to an exclusive promotional agreement.

Born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Bek came to the United States at a young age and has called the Philadelphia area home for most of his life. After an extensive amateur career, he has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young prospects in the Philly fight scene.

At only 19 years old, Bek fights with a maturity well beyond his age. His ring IQ, ring generalship, movement, defense and ability to make adjustments are those of a much more experienced fighter.

Bek trains at Team Kaoz Boxing Gym under the legendary Mark “The Mad Scientist” Robertson, who has played a major role in developing the intelligent, technical style that has become Bek’s trademark.

Blue Corner knows exactly what Bek brings to the table. He has fought on both of our professional cards and has quickly become a crowd favorite.

“We’ve had the opportunity to watch Bek up close on our first two shows, and I truly believe this kid is special,” said Blue Corner Promotions founder Brian Costello. “He’s 19, but he doesn’t fight like it. His ring IQ, composure and ability to control a fight are way beyond his years. With Mark Robertson and Team Kaoz behind him, I believe Bek has all the makings of a future world champion.”

There were no easy rounds in this one.

Natalia Francesca came to Philadelphia with one goal... take that belt home. She slowed down Shera Mae Patricio's usual relentless volume and forced her into a different kind of fight. Every round had to be earned.

But champions find different ways to win.

Shera neutralized Natalia's biggest weapon, her power. When the heavy shots did land, she took them, never blinked, and kept coming. That's what this fight proved. Shera isn't just an offensive machine. She's tough. She's durable. She can box, adjust, and dig deep when Plan A isn't enough.

A lot of people questioned whether she could win a fight like this. She answered every one of those questions under the brightest lights.

KING OF THE B-SIDE
Ali Ellis Jr. made his Blue Corner Promotions debut in unforgettable fashion.

Escorted to the ring by Philadelphia's own Freeway performing live, with two of the young boxers he coaches at Jack Costello Boxing Club carrying his championship belts, it was a walkout that represented exactly who Ali is not just a champion in the ring, but a leader outside of it.

Across from him stood one of Philadelphia's toughest veterans. Greg Hackett accepted the fight on just two weeks' notice and reminded everyone why he's earned so much respect in this sport. His record has never told the whole story. Greg's ring IQ is among the best around, and he used every veteran trick in the book to frustrate Ali, make him miss, and force him to think every second of the fight.

But championship fighters make championship adjustments.
As the fight wore on, Ali's speed, strength, conditioning, and composure began to separate him. He controlled the pace, landed the cleaner, harder shots, and never let the veteran tactics take him out of his game. By the final bell, Ali had put together a dominant performance, earning a unanimous decision in front of a packed Fillmore crowd.

Much respect to Greg Hackett for stepping in on short notice and proving once again why he's one of Philadelphia's most respected veterans.

Mexico's Luis Orlando Verdugo Arroyo came to Philadelphia with the experience advantage and every intention of spoiling the night. @chris2recklesss Ortiz never let him get comfortable.

Over six rounds, Christian showed why he's becoming one of the names to watch. He stayed composed, picked his shots, and controlled the action against a veteran who's shared the ring with plenty of tough fighters.

Heavyweights don't usually keep this pace for four rounds, but Justin Litz made sure they didn't have to. @lusciouslitz @morrismaurice75

Maurice Morris came into Independence Brawl with experience in bare knuckle, MMA, and dirty boxing, looking to make it ugly from the opening bell. He came out aggressive and had his moments early, but Litz never let the fight get away from him. Using his reach, footwork, and a disciplined jab, he kept Morris at the end of his punches and forced the fight to be contested on his terms. Morris' fast start slowly faded as Litz continued to break him down.

By the third round, the pressure had taken its toll. Litz turned it up, landed clean, and forced the referee to wave it off.

Timur homitov @_tima_champ made a statement at Independence Brawl.

Jalen Green came to fight and never stopped trying to turn the tide, but over four rounds Homitov controlled the action from start to finish. Sharp, composed, and a step ahead all night, he showcased exactly why he's one to keep an eye on.

After four rounds, the judges were unanimous.
