POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our loved brother, Mason Hawkins. Mason was one of a kind, always having a smile on his face. He resembled everything we strive for in a KA. Mason had true reverence and embodied what brotherhood means to us. He was supportive and was always there no matter what. We are eternally grateful for the time we got to spend with Mason, and the impact he had on everyone. We will continue to carry on Mason's legacy for the rest of our lives.

We would like to thank everyone that has reached out in support through this troubling time. We ask for prayers for Masons family and loved ones at this time.

We love and miss you, Goose ❤️ by @kappaalphawku

Today, the men of Kappa Alpha Order had the honor of being present for the first annual announcement of the Mason Hawkins full-ride scholarship awarded in memory of our brother.

Our chapter is incredibly grateful to have played a part in making this possible through the money raised from our philanthropy. Seeing that support turn into an opportunity that will change someone’s life is a powerful reminder of the impact our brother continues to have.

For this week’s member spotlight, we have rising sophomore, Wyatt Nolley.

Brother Nolley is a Finance major, and this is what he had to say about The Order.

When I first enrolled at WKU, joining a fraternity wasn’t even a thought in my head. I never planned on rushing because I didn’t think being in a fraternity was for me. But after spending time around the men of Kappa Alpha, I quickly realized it was so much more than what you think. I saw a group of men who genuinely cared about each other, pushed one another to be better, and created a brotherhood built on respect, leadership, and character. Looking back, joining KA has been one of the best decisions I’ve made during my time on the hill. The friendships I’ve built, the memories I’ve made, and the opportunities I’ve been given have shaped me both personally and professionally. Whether it’s growing as a leader, serving the chapter, or gaining connections that have helped me outside the classroom, KA has had a substantial impact on my life. I’m excited to give others the same opportunity to experience what this brotherhood has meant to me. Rush the Order.

For this week’s member spotlight, we have rising sophomore Harrison Yates.

Brother Yates is an Accounting major, and this is what he had to say about the Order.

“Being a member of Kappa Alpha Order is an incredible experience. From the very beginning, the brotherhood felt like family to me. I have met so many guys that have quickly become my closest friends. It’s amazing to know these guys will be with me for the rest of my life. Kappa Alpha Order has shaped me to be a better man by teaching me leadership, and brotherhood through unforgettable experiences. Since joining, the opportunities I’ve gained have been incredible. From valuable experiences, and the friendships that even helped me land my internship at Houchens Insurance Group In Bowling Green, Kentucky. The connections I’ve made at Houchens will not only follow me throughout college but continue through the rest of my journey. RUSH THE ORDER.“

Brother Yates embodies what it means to be a KA. If you’re looking for a brotherhood built on leadership, tradition, and lifelong friendships, sign up for Fall Recruitment through the link in our bio.

Every summer, we like to highlight some of our brothers whether it be highlighting their summer internships and future endeavors or just a member spotlight. This year, we are starting off with brother Greyson Jernigan, who does a substantial amount of behind the scenes work for our Chapter.

Greyson is an upcoming junior majoring in exercise science with a pre-med focus and this is what he had to say about Kappa Alpha Order.

“As an active member of KA, I’ve been blessed with countless friendships and opportunities throughout my college career. Fraternity life never crossed my mind until I first stepped onto the KA compound. There was something special about the brotherhood, and it was an opportunity I knew I had to pursue. Since joining, I’ve built friendships with men I know will be by my side for life and made memories I will never forget.

Beyond the social side of KA, this chapter has helped me grow as a person. During my time here, I competed in Fight Night, participate in Bible studies, completed my practicum as a physical therapy technician, and work as a forklift driver while balancing school. These experiences taught me discipline, resilience, and time management, and having brothers who supported me along the way made them even more meaningful.

If life is short, then college is only a blink. Make the most of your time and rush the Order.”
