Happy International Women’s Friendship Month! 🫂

This #AOTuesday and the month of September is all about celebrating the friendships that mean the most to us. What started as Kappa Delta’s National Women’s Friendship Day in 1999 grew into a whole month dedicated to the power of women’s friendships.

We’re forever grateful for the women who cheer us on, grow with us, and turn friendship into sisterhood. Here’s to the memories we’ve made & all the ones still to come! 🫶🏼

What’s been keeping us busy over summer break ☀️🏄‍♀️

Debra Barron: “I work the whole summer at an all girls sleep away camp caring for 15 year olds as they train to be counselors! I also facilitate activities in the outdoors department for all ages such as the ropes course, fire building, outdoor cooking, survival skills, and white water rafting! I spend 9 weeks at my favorite summer home where I grew up!”

Hannah Kean: “At Kids Thrive Therapy, I bring sensory toys and any other games that will help their fine motor skills to the occupational therapists. As well as making food trays for children who are learning how to eat their food properly. I get to observe special needs children and learn more skills on how an OT will teach them to achieve everyday life skills and improve their fine motor skills!”

Allie Schwartz: “I was able to work with Prosek Partners for a two-week immersive experience in NYC which introduced me to the world of public relations and integrated communications through interactive workshops, guest speaker sessions, and a collaborative capstone project! The program provided valuable exposure to industry professionals and specialty practices, including private markets, investor relations, digital & paid media, data & analytics, and professional services and special situations.”

Ella Lowry: “This summer, I interned with Zimmer Biomet, where I gained hands-on experience in inventory management, logistics, and operations while supporting the orthopedic medical device industry. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop valuable professional skills!”

Jackie Sita: “I am interning at Ellin and Tucker Accounting Firm located in Baltimore City. I am a summer intern that is currently getting experience in both Tax and Audit. I am able to go to client sites and learn about how there company operates and I am able to work on different projects in both departments. I am also able to gain professional development skills as well throughout the internship! I get to be a part there Giving Back Program where they host community service events in the baltimore area to help create a positive impact on the community.”
