I’m begging for it to no longer be summer anymore. It’s felt like the longest summer ever, but how is it already September. This piece is gorgeous and I’m obsessed with how the layers turned out. Now yall are all caught up on everything I have finished at the moment.

Stick On Me, Oh Blessed One

💥💥💥
This was my first piece I imagined for my Senior show. It was the center piece and largest piece I have ever made. It took so much love, dedication, and patience to work at this piece over the series of months I had to create it. I went very ambitious for my finial show and I am so happy and proud that I did. And it made me realize that I am an artist. To have a degree or not to have a degree means nothing to the word artist but the time and effort I dedicated during that time while getting my degree does. I couldn’t have made this without @alexmcclurg1 and @adam.eddy from helping me cut down the frame to helping me learn to stretch such a large canvas, your help meant so much to me. I hope to continue my ambitions and create even bigger and better work in the future. I hope that you enjoy this piece if you were not able to view it while the show was up.

🪱Icky Guts, Feeling Scratchy〽️
🌀22”x30” inch
🪼transfer on paper( Lacquer thinner)
⭐️I think this one is still growing on me, I was experimenting a lot with color. There is a lot of playful texture, which I enjoy. This one feels darker than the rest somehow. I don’t know. by @karah_gone_

🌀Triple Decker Grandma🌀
🪼22”x30”
🪱Transfer on Paper (Lacquer Thinner)

Dear Reader 🌱⭐️
I find this piece has a certain energy about it. And what’s not to love about a triple decker grandma( even tho there’s a few more than 3 grandmas). I was experimenting with placement of images and shapes as well. Lingering on nature, grandmas, past memories, memories that aren’t mine but made up, texture, and technology. I hope you have enjoyed.

🧠
This is the first piece I ever painted on wood, although quite difficult to do, I believe it turned out just right. It was super cool to learn how to properly cut a shape like this one! This piece is about me growing up and learning that I can be more and choose more for myself. I hope that you can see yourself in this piece. taken in UAB's Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts, AEIVA by @karah_gone_

Ngl this is my favorite of the Tryptic. This is the third and final piece. The colors and layering turned out just how I wanted, actually probably better haha. It was so enchanting to watch it come to fruition. I hope to make more pieces like this in the future😌 by @karah_gone_
