My dogs are living their best lives thanks to Kindfull dog food & treats from @target!!

I’m so OCD” gets tossed around for liking a clean desk or color-coded closet. But OCD isn’t a quirk or a personality trait.

It’s intrusive thoughts that won’t let go. It’s compulsions people can’t just will away. Sometimes those compulsions are invisible: replaying, reviewing and seeking reassurance in your head. And it’s a real clinical disorder that can take hours out of someone’s day.

Not everyone with OCD washes their hands or checks the locks. Many people are struggling in ways you’ll never see!

October is OCD Awareness Month, and I want to clear a few things up ♡

OCD isn’t about being neat or loving a color-coded closet. It’s intrusive thoughts that get stuck on repeat, and the exhausting rituals people use to try to quiet them.

About 1 in 40 adults live with it. That’s someone you know, and maybe it’s you. If it is, please hear this: your thoughts don’t define you, and treatment works. ERP therapy is a great place to start, and iocdf.org is full of resources.

Let’s retire “I’m so OCD” this month and check on our people instead. Share this with someone who needs the reminder ♡

Stormy Girl… I can’t believe you’re 4! ♡ ♡

You are truly one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me. I never could have imagined just how much you would heal my heart after losing Boomer. I wasn’t looking for another dog, but somehow, you found your way into my life and surprised me with a kind of joy I didn’t even know I needed.
