A belated cheers to the wildly talented and warm-hearted Kara Kersten! ๐Ÿฅ‚โœจ Celebrating her organic and effortless design and the wonderful people who brought these spaces to life. We are so impressed by the work of @olivebranchcontractingkc and @varsitybuilt! Such an honor to be invited and share in the festivities! @karakerstendesign @olivebranchcontractingkc @varsitybuilt by @karakerstendesign
On our recent research trip to Chicago w my girl @karakerstendesign we sought out the high/low mix we shoot for in our interiors. Every room needs pieces with soul, so we hit the vintage shops. We also hit the luxury showrooms for those foundational pieces & permanent installations. Thank you to our trade partners @rhleawood for the reservations at Three Arts. We also thoroughly enjoyed @ralphlauren restaurant our last night in town. Weโ€™re inspired for our next client projectsโ€”consider this your cue to book the trip! ๐Ÿฅ‚ by @karakerstendesign

The absolute best: when clients are so proud of their space and happy with the result that they let you throw them a party for their neighbors, friends, and family to come and celebrate together. So thankful. @olivebranchcontractingkc @varsitybuilt @smashingfizz by @karakerstendesign

A stately front porch that actually protects those from the rain or snow when a visitor or package is at the door. Such seemingly natural, and original-looking architecture actually took a lot of thought, proportion, and calculation to alter from the original curved and under-sized Georgian portico when trying to simultaneously honor historical architecture AND current functionality. by @karakerstendesign
Swipe to see before. Huge transformation for a small space. by @karakerstendesign
Classic Georgian home that finally got it's glow up! Swipe to see before. by @karakerstendesign
Wet rooms are becoming more common in the US, but they've been around for quite a while in Europe and Asia. This one feels like a tropical luxury spa escape to me. How do you feel about them? by @karakerstendesign
When do you typically take your Christmas decorations down? Nate Bargatze has a joke about this. March = you're lazy, May = you're crazy, but if you wait until July = now you're just miles ahead of everyone else if you leave them up. by @karakerstendesign
