Akiko Asano has dedicated her West Melbourne restaurant Karé to celebrating her favourite dish- curry.

In Japan, curry is a cultural phenomenon. There are thousands of curry-only restaurants. In Melbourne? Karé is blazing that trail.

From her Mum’s signature beef curry and hambagu beef steak curry (made from Wagyu brisket) to curry pan and keema cheese curry. You won’t find a person as devoted to sharing real Japanese curry with Melbourne as Akiko. Go and visit her restaurant and eat her curry!
