“If you risk nothing, then you risk everything.”

In 2022, leaving The Bahamas to pursue my academic career was a risk I always knew I wanted to take. Since taking that leap, the journey has exceeded my wildest expectations, rewarding me with numerous accolades and achievements that I once only dreamed of. As I stand here today, I am proud to say that this very risk was worth everything.

Thank you to my family for being my anchor. Your prayers and unwavering support reached me no matter the distance, and they are the reason I’ve made it this far.

The meaningful connections I’ve made along the way have truly defined this chapter. These friendships have had a monumental impact on my experience here.

I am beyond humbled and eternally grateful to have completed this journey on a full academic scholarship. To have my hard work recognized in such a life changing way is a blessing I will never take for granted .

As I close this chapter with a full heart and a degree in hand, remember my story doesn’t end here!

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated has transformed my life in ways I will forever cherish, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I have learned the quiet strength it takes to stand firm in who I am, to move with purpose and integrity, and to choose what is right even when it is not the easiest or most popular path. Having been surrounded by this sisterhood for as long as I can remember, it has gently shaped the woman I continue becoming. I hope to always move with ChariZma, grace, purpose, and a love that leaves others better than I found them.

To the Sophisticated Sigma Epsilon Chapter,
You have truly become my home away from home. When my family was miles away, you stepped in without hesitation, every single time. Because of you, I have grown into a true reflection of finer womanhood. I am endlessly grateful to the women who came before me, who poured so much love, strength, and purpose into this chapter. I promise to continue honoring that legacy with the same passion and devotion.

Thank you for embracing me for exactly who I am. Through every high and low, you stood by me as my sisters, and I would not trade that bond for anything. Our late nights and early mornings are more than just memories, they are moments that shaped me. To the National Council of Negro Women: thank you for being the foundation of my university experience. You taught me the essence of leadership and the power of advocacy.

I’ve grown to love and cherish this sisterhood more than words can say. It has been a blessing to belong to an organization larger than myself and to evolve alongside such inspiring women.

Though I am entering a new chapter, the values instilled in me here will guide me through everything to come🫂

Different Letters, Different Paths, One Alliance

To my best friend Courtney,
Since freshman year, you’ve stood by my side, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better confidant. You’ve seen me at my highest highs and my lowest lows,every win, every setback, every version of me. As we’ve grown and learned more about each other, I’ve come to appreciate not only the goals we’ve watched each other achieve, but the strength it took to keep going when our paths looked different. You’ve shown me what it truly means to be a real friend, and even more, what it means to have a sister. Even though we’ve taken different routes, the bond has always remained the same. Steady, genuine, and unbreakable no matter our situation. Through and through, you are my sister, and I’m forever grateful for you.

To my best friend Karea,
Becoming close to you was one of the most unexpected moments in my life. To think that I always knew your face but never spoke to you, and then taking the chance to going up to your room freshman year to hang out. Boy have we came far. My college journey with you has been the best thing ever. I usually compare it to having a twin, someone I go everywhere with, all until we went down our separate paths. All the nights we spent in each other’s rooms, listening to our goals and dreams. We’ve laughed together, cried, grown and stumbled but I love the person we have become. Same dream but different pathways, a freshman dream come true. Thank you for being my support and introducing me to Greek life. Love you now and forever.
