I was always a fan of #Illuminations… the candle company that used to have retail stores, but closed and later revived a limited, online only presence. If you were a fan, you might remember this piece that Roger helped me hang yesterday. It’s what I call their “ Candelier Chandelier “ and, now that Fall is here, I can actually enjoy it on the screened porch! Man, I miss their original company! by @karen0457

Downtown Rome, GA, Halloween Day 2026 from 3-5 pm 🎃, followed by the Schnauzerfest Rome parade at 7 pm. Although I’m a dog person, I value the work of the Rome Floyd Humane Society for cats in the community. by @karen0457

What’s on my mind? Thankfulness. ❤️ Roger took Lexi for her vet visit today (6 month, 14.5 years old visit) and the vet said for a dog her age, her bloodwork was “perfect”. I’m so thankful for Dr. Bridget Hopkins and her folks at Summerville Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Bridget has been a Godsend to me as I worry about everything as Lexi ages. I know that my schnauzer friends “get it”… we know that our babies won’t live forever, but we’re committed to doing all we can to help them have the highest quality of life while they ARE on this earth! I might have to hug her extra tightly tonight! ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️ Posting a picture of Lexi (and her two cheerleaders) in her volleyball mode! 😉🐾😊 by @karen0457

Two of my favorite things combined… chinoiserie and schnauzers… ❤️❤️ I’m usually a floppy-eared lover, but I kind of like the pointed ears! 😉 by @karen0457

Just a little Halloween touch… of course, this will all need to shift as the winds and rain from Isaias head north… 😉 by @karen0457
