Very successful New York trip. The script reading went so well with fabulous acting and directing. After which Ben and I got to play real tourists and visit Time Square, The Statue of Liberty, do a pizza crawl and see a play. Sometimes the life of an actor isn't so bad. by @karenbaughn

And now, a tribute to everything else Mexico City had to offer: outdoor cafes, street performers, secret speakeasy's, delicious ceviche and fabulous friendship. These ladies made it wonderful. Thank you to my forever tattoo pals @alexjwight and @lisapellrep for showing me an unforgettable time. by @karenbaughn

The Lucha Libre wrestling was so exciting! The crowd was electric and the performers earned every cheer and boo. I definitely had my favorites by the end of the night. And those SLAPS! by @karenbaughn

We visited Teotihuacan and it was such an adventure! We saw ruins, stole bits of information from passing tour guides, and climbed so many stairs! Since the ATM at the ticket booth was broken, we couldn't get a tour guide of our own, but luckily Ali remembered a lot of fun facts about a DIFFERENT Mesoamerican ruin she had visited. We would have to wait till we got to the anthropological museum to find out if she was right. (Spoiler: she was!) by @karenbaughn

The Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum was one of the most stunning and eerily beautiful places I have ever been. Tickets were included when we purchased entrance to Casa Azul, the Frieda Kahlo house, but you can tell by the pictures which one we explored more. The translucent stone windows let in a strange warm light on this moody overcast day. The art was glowing and the whole place felt solemn and unearthly. The staircases kept veering off in unexpected directions until you reach the top, where you can look out over the city. Very cool. by @karenbaughn

Mexico City with @alexjwight and @lisapellrep was a blast! The first day we had a 3-person Xochimilco boat party! A guide pushed us down the river where we got to pick from floating craft vendors, food and beverages, and entertainment. We had a mariachi band board the boat, stopped to hold a snake and see axolotls, but my favorite was the boat with a xylophone players. They played La Bamba for us tourists and it was the most whimsical thing I have ever heard! by @karenbaughn
