Did you have a gorgeous wedding bouquet? When my husband and I got married (in a hotel room almost 10 years ago) I just held 2 garden roses. A big bouquet seemed silly when it was just the two of us and a minister. Every year around this time, when the flowers are starting to explode, I gather lots of stems from my garden and local flower farms and make myself a huge bouquet. Yesterday I made one with huge peonies, foxglove, geranium leaves and sweet pea. It smelled amazing. I’d love to see your wedding bouquets in the comments!

The final piece in my “Birds gone wild” series created for an upcoming showing. I love geraniums so much; creating it was such a memory jog back to my grandmother’s garden. 💕

I’ve been making flowers since I was 6 or 7. I made bouquets for my mom out of paper, fabric and plastic; all with a tag labeled “Karey’s Flower Shop”. Still making bouquets today; I will never tire of the colors, the scents, the shapes.🌸 #kareysflowershop taken in Matthews, North Carolina by @kareybancroft
