Decided to cut my hair (about 3 and a half inches) and tone my color as well (light ash brown for the record), which neutralized the lingering balayage and summer sun brassiness (which you can see from the photos in the video).
It hasn’t been this short since 2019 but I was over the longer length (I cut an initial 4 inches back in June too).
Fortunate that Julie, my hairstylist of 22 years, gets me.

Summer days 🌞
Spent time with both of my sons today. Went hiking at Cooper Mountain! The story behind the second photo is for years when they were young and we were on vacation they would always hold each other’s hands. I have several photos from ages 4 to 14 from Honolulu, Victoria, London, Paris, Grand Canyon, Disneyland, you name it- with this exact pose-💙
They gladly obliged when I asked if they might re-create this familiar image.
You know as adults we don’t always get to spend a lot of quality time together. Living and being present in the moment is crucial, especially in this day and age.
These are the type of memories I want to create. These are the types of encounters which means the most to me.

I did it! I got my first tattoo, a piece that beautifully weaves together my heritage and my heart. For Greeks (like myself), the Olive branch is a sacred symbol of peace, victory, and eternal life, mirroring the resilient and nurturing nature of motherhood. It is anchored by my two son’s initials, which represents my unwavering love and deepest hope that they continue to flourish in peace as they navigate their journey as young adults. 💚💙🕊️💙💚
