POSTS STORIES REELS

So excited to finally reveal the book cover for my debut poetry collection, “Bearings of My Beloved.” Painted by the beautifully talented Kariyana B., this painting follows the journey of the book and the intertwined stories of both the generations before me and those to come.

Kari, girl, we were literal little girls together (as awkward and curious as we wanted to be). If you would’ve told either of us in middle school that one would write and publish a book and the other would be the one to paint the book cover, we wouldn’t have believed it. The beautiful things God has done and will continue to do with us will create such a lasting legacy. I gave this book life, but you gave her a face. I am eternally grateful. 🥹

We are officially a week from September 25th, the book’s official release date, which is crazy because I remember when this was on my spirit in the form of a small mustard seed.

Go out and buy physical literature. Go out and buy BEARINGS OF MY BELOVED. 🤍🫀 by @kariiyb

Bearings of My Beloved🫀

Had the blessing and the pleasure to paint the front visual for the debut poetry collection written by my illustrious soul sista, Khori Baker, Bearings of My Beloved.

After our first phone call about this project I immediately knew this was magic in the making. Kho, your words are so sacred and I felt that from every stanza. Creating the cover for your book felt like a spiritual creative exchange and I cannot express how much gratitude I have in my heart to be the artist behind your story that will carry on generations from now. It is truly a blessing to have been a part of this project.
I received all the love, nurture, and tears even, that you have poured into this collection and intentionally desired to create something that our ancestors would be proud of, something that will be cherished years to come🤍

2012 Kariy and Kho had no idea what was brewing in our wombs, and I am so grateful we have grown to see its harvest🫀

Congrats to Miss Kho on her debut poetry collection, Bearings of My Beloved
