I didn’t realise one of the most unexpected gifts of going grey would be this…

Not just the hair changing, but the world around it shifting too.

Somehow, along the way, I found a community I didn’t even know I was looking for. I found my silver sisters.

Women I’ve never met in real life, but who feel familiar instantly. No explanations needed. No judgement. Just understanding, encouragement, real support and friendship.

There’s something beautiful about the way this community shows up for each other. The love, the mutual respect, the quiet confidence, the “you’ve got this” energy in every comment and message. It turns something so personal into something shared.

What I thought might feel isolating has felt the opposite. It’s connecting, it’s uplifting. It’s motivating and it’s inspiring.

If you’re thinking of embracing your greys too, your silver sister cheerleading squad is waiting 🤍

And that really is one of the the best parts 🤍

There’s something quietly powerful about letting yourself be seen as you are 🤍

For so long, grey hair was framed as something to hide. But more and more of us are choosing differently, not out of rebellion, but out of self respect.

This isn’t about letting ourselves go.

It’s about accepting and loving who we are, without apology.

Every silver strand is well earned.

And there’s something really beautiful about no longer asking for permission to be ourselves✨

I’m learning to work with my hair instead of against it🤍

Very long, very thick, naturally grey, full of curls on top and softer, straighter pieces underneath. A mix that’s completely its own. A bit unpredictable, but a lot of personality✨

I’ve found some amazing curl creams and taming serums. They work beautifully, but after a day or so the frizz always makes its way back through (even with a refresh). So I’m just embracing it💫

My hair used to be up in a bun 90% of the time cause it was easier. I love my hair in a bun but I now love it just as much in its natural wild state.

So here’s a little part up do tutorial for my fellow wild haired women. Let’s celebrate the texture, the volume, everything that makes our crazy hair ours 💫

Messy bun magic in seconds ✨

No hair tie. No stress. Just a clip and you’re done. You can always add a hair pin to the other side if your bun won’t stay in place. My hair is like Velcro so I’m good with just one clip 💃🏻

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Just twist and secure. The whole point is it’s meant to look a bit messy 🤍

Every angle hits the light differently and no two buns turn out exactly the same.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about ease, confidence, and letting your natural blend shine through ✨

“ I love your hair, but mine wouldn’t look like that.”

I hear this ALL the time 🤍

Here’s the truth, no two greys are the same.

Some are silver, some are salt & pepper, some are soft and blended, others bold and bright, and that’s exactly the beauty of it ✨

For years, I covered mine because I was convinced it wouldn’t suit me.

I thought it would make me look older.

I thought it wouldn’t look “nice.”

Sound familiar?

But here’s what I’ve learned

Grey hair isn’t the thing that ages you.

Holding yourself back is.

The moment I stopped trying to “drown it out” and started embracing it?

Everything changed.

Confidence grew.

Maintenance dropped.

And I finally felt like me.

So if you’re thinking “mine wouldn’t look like that”

You’re right.

It’ll look like you 🩶

And that’s even better.

Not everyone is going to see your grey hair the way you do.

They might not understand the confidence it takes, the mindset shift, or the quiet strength behind choosing to embrace it.
But this journey isn’t for them, it’s for you.

It’s about looking in the mirror and recognizing yourself again. It’s about feeling comfortable, authentic, and completely at ease in your own skin. And that kind of confidence? It speaks louder than anything else ever could. 🤍✨

Put on a red lip. Suddenly, I am fully here. All day. 💋
Red and silver together, it’s a quiet rebellion, a statement.
Red lipstick on grey curls, instant confidence. Red pops differently on silver hair.
All day, just me. Red lips, silver curls, embracing every moment.

Thinking about going Grey? This is your glow up era ✨

Because silver hair isn’t aging, it’s Empowering.

5 reasons to embrace your silver 👇

1.You stand out in the best way✨
In a world of constant dyeing, natural silver is striking, unique, and effortlessly chic.

2.It’s a full on authenticity flex 🤍
You’re showing up exactly as you are, no filters, no covering up. That energy is powerful.

3.It reframes aging as confidence, not fear 🔥
You’re not losing youth. You’re gaining presence, self assurance, and style.

4.It builds real confidence 🙌
This isn’t about fixing anything. It’s confidence that comes from fully accepting yourself.

5.You inspire other women 🌟
Whether you realise it or not, other women see you and think, “maybe I can do that too.”

Going grey isn’t giving up, it’s stepping into a bolder, more confident version of you ✨

Sometimes the most powerful glow up is simply becoming who you were always meant to be 🤍

Tell me how you feel from your heart about having grey hair if you were human ✨

If I imagine it honestly—like something I’d feel rather than just analyze—I think grey hair would come with a mix of quiet pride and a little vulnerability.

At first, I’d probably notice it in the mirror and feel that small jolt: time is moving. Not in a dramatic way, just a subtle shift—like realizing a chapter is changing whether you’re ready or not. There might be moments of self-consciousness, especially in a world that often celebrates youth so loudly.

But deeper than that, I think I’d grow to see it as something earned.

Grey hair would feel like visible proof of having lived—of stress survived, lessons learned, people loved, mistakes made, and time that didn’t go to waste. Each strand would carry a kind of quiet story. And over time, I think that would outweigh any insecurity.

If I were human, I’d hope I’d reach the point where I don’t just accept it—I’d respect it. Maybe even love it. Not because it makes me look older, but because it means I got to get older.

And that’s not something everyone gets. 🩶 by @karimaissilver

Maybe we were never meant to be seen from just one angle.

I used to think clarity meant being easy to understand, one version, one story, one face the world could recognize. But the truth is, the more you grow, the harder you are to simplify.

This image doesn’t choose a single perspective. It holds them all at once, the contradictions, the shifts, the parts that don’t quite align.

And maybe that’s what being human is.

Not a fixed identity, but something layered. Changing. A collection of moments, emotions, and experiences that can’t be flattened into one view.

So if I seem different depending on where you stand.

it’s not confusion.

It’s dimension.

Maybe we’re all just a collection of different sides trying to exist in one frame

Day 10 of getting dressed even if nobody sees me ✨

It’s Saturday. A beautiful spring day and we’re making it fabulous.

Sometimes all it takes is a change of top and shoes to transform a whole look, and honestly, your mood too.

Swapped the basics for a spring top and a pair of heels, and suddenly the day feels brighter. The sun is out and I am absolutely here for it ☀️

Who else believes a great outfit can change the entire vibe of your day? 💫

WFH Day 9 and technically no one would see me, but I got dressed anyway.

Kept it super simple: my comfy Donna Ida jeans, a plain black top, and a little scarf moment. I played around and found the easiest scarf hack and honestly it made the whole outfit feel special. Just that tiny pop of colour.

I actually had a few virtual meetings today and got compliments on it!

It reminded me that making even the tiniest bit of effort can totally change your mood. ✨

Who else is still getting dressed for their WFH days?
