Super old picture, from one of the comicons , but hey, I met The punisher 🙂. Can’t wait to see Spiderman movie this week 😭🥰😍❤️ So excited!!! by @karin_aldea

@spiderman has always been a huge part of our family’s life. Spiderman merch, Spiderman comics, spiderman meet and greet at @disneyland. watching the new @spidermanmovie with our boys ( here 5 and 7 yo, now in their teen and pre teen years ) is one of the best highlights of my life. Watching this movie made me cry, laugh, and get overwhelmed with joy. Geeks rule!!! Go watch it spidey fans! Its deep, emotional and great! by @karin_aldea

I look at these photos now and I barely recognize that version of me.
The weight stands out, sure, but what really hits is how unhappy I was living inside that body.

Carb cloud years. Everything slow. Heavy. Foggy. Moving felt hard. Eating without thinking. Fully convinced this was just what aging looked like.

Three years ago, everything shifted.
Over 30 kilos gone. size 50 to 40, around five clothing sizes dropped.
Metabolic age and cardiovascular age now way younger than my actual age, which still feels a little unreal.

I embrace aging. I listen to my body, especially my knees.
Some days I crave a cinnamon roll. Some days a samosa sounds like a life choice. Calories aren’t counted. Food isn’t punished.

This year was rough. Losing my mom took a toll. Weight came back. Weight went away again. Space was given to grieve, reset, and keep going. Mental health stayed part of the process.

Keto and low carb changed my life.
Energy came back. Clarity came back. Confidence came back. I have bad days like everyone and a long way to go, but I’m still human. Still imperfect.

One of the things we love most about Mako, is the way she sees the world. She reminds us that there’s always a little magic hiding in the everyday. by @karin_aldea
