On the eve of our first wedding anniversary, my husband @pennelll completed his first 100 mile trail run. I had the privilege of pacing him for the last 32 miles. I am so proud of his accomplishment for not only crossing the finish and crushing his goal, but the countless 5am wake ups, two a day workouts (obviously had to convince him to still bike with me), and nearly 5 training runs a week since January. But more than anything, I’m so stoked to have a partner that inspires me to chase dreams and embark on some huge adventures together. Happy one year Penn! by @karina__lukens

LEADVILLE

100 miles on the bike - 12,500 elevation gain - an incredible crew of gals I couldn’t have done it without.

The most humbling, incredible, mentally fatiguing, and celebratory weekend I could have ever imagined. Thank you for the love, support, motivation, and best bachelorette weekend a gal could ask for.

Why Leadville? Elevation 10,000 = 2 drinks are enough. Eight cheetah sisters = the best outfits in town. Three bar options = one amateur lap dance to this bride-to-be. 100 mile bike race = an addictive feat that will have me coming back. taken in Leadville Race Series by @karina__lukens
