I wrote this song to celebrate the moment we realize the joy of being ourselves. Some people are born with this ability. For others, it is a journey. For me, it was a journey. Even though I wrote it as a ballad, I decided that the song had to be a bossa nova. Bossa nova is unpretentious, fluid but complex. I love experiences in life that are like this.
I wish you have a bossa nova experience of realizing the joy of being yourself when listening to this song. Here is a “Table for One” live studio version for you. A NY Studio Version. I hope you enjoy. ❤️ #songwriter #lovesongs #bossanova taken in New York, New York by @karinalouzada

I wrote “Chapters Behind” as a hopeful and sincere reflection about endings, as an invitation to honor what was good, in the mist of our natural tendency to question what went wrong. I wanted this song to be a picture of that moment right after a breakup when we are alone, hurt, trying to understand what happened, but doing it with compassion for ourselves and what was lived together. I think that we deserve a chance to redesign the chapters behind. I hope you enjoy this NY Studio Sessions version.

The anthemic and liberating song “Breathe” invites us to take the time we need to reset and recalibrate. Thanks @robwmusic, for turning my piano and vocal composition into an energizing, genre-bending, out-of-this-world production that I adore and can’t live without. It was amazing to work with you on bringing this song to life!

“Here to Stay” is one of your beloved songs ❤️ and a truly heartfelt one. It features one of my favorite lyrics I’ve written to date: “The past never shows what the future can hold.” I strongly believe in this, in the power of not being defined by our past. I invite you to add this beautiful guitar ballad to your favorite playlist. 🙂

Every time I sing this song, I remember how proud I am of these verses. I choose each one of these lines very intentionally, almost like a patchwork of experiences I witnessed or lived. For me, this song is pure poetry. #songwriter #inspiration #lovesong taken in New York, New York by @karinalouzada

Writing the second verse in Portuguese was an insight I had when I felt this song needed to be a Bossa Nova. I wanted it to be a little secret, a little surprise hidden in the song. So many people tell me that they love this moment, love this little surprise, which always makes me smile. “Existe um mundo meu” 🤍#songwriter #inspiration #poetry #bossanova taken in New York, New York by @karinalouzada
