it’s booty growing season 🍑🔥

this is one of my favorite exercise to target my glutes. the hip extension movement in thrusts specifically engages your glutes, promoting muscle growth and strength

hip thrusts also help reduce lower back pain because not only do they strengthen your glutes, but they also strengthen your lower back muscles

I used to struggle with lower back pain a few years ago and lifting is the only thing that’s helped eliminate that pain. other exercises that have helped reduce my lower back pain are hyperextensions, RDLs (Romanian dead lifts), walking on the incline on the treadmill, and yoga 🧘🏼‍♀️

allow me to reintroduce myself 🏋🏼‍♀️💪🏼😎

if you asked me a few years ago if I’d ever post the first picture on social media I would have said ABSOLUTELY NOT, without hesitation

at that time I was the most insecure, shy and uncomfortable in my body. I was weak in both my body and my mind. I had zero self confidence, hated everything I wore and despised going shopping because nothing fit me right. mostly, I hated moving my body and exercising

I’m so glad I decided to keep this picture because now I can look back and see how far I’ve come 🙌🏼🙏🏼

growing up I only dreamt of having a flat stomach and wearing crop tops. I envied all the girls around me who were effortlessly “skinny.” I was bullied my entire childhood for being overweight which not only killed my confidence and self esteem even more, but it created trauma and limiting beliefs within myself. now, I use that as fuel to work even harder in the gym & on myself 🔥

fast forward to today and I’m 60 pounds down and counting 🙌🏼 I’m the most confident and comfortable in my body than I’ve ever been in my entire life, and I believe in myself & love myself more than ever 🤍

I used to dread the gym and it took everything in me to get myself there. now I have to force myself to take a day off 🤣 and I love it. it’s a lifestyle 🤪

fitness has given me confidence, strength, self esteem, a better mindset, discipline, better habits, peace of mind, consistency, and the belief in myself that I can do anything I put my mind to. the physical results are just the cherry on top 🍒
