The most magical couple of days in Dublin to see The Art of Moonlight Kissing in bookshops. ⭐️

A long held dream realised. With a spot of Guinness sampling along the way. ❤️

Drum roll please...here is the cover for my 2nd book, The Art of Moonlight Kissing!

Due to be released on 8th July.

It's about surfing, love, friendship, heartbreak and wishing. It's about 3 Northern (North Cornwall) girls (women), and of course, it's about moonlight kissing.
And who doesn't love kissing in the moonlight?

I am so very excited. 🤸

I've never been a Halloween lover, but I do like an excuse to make cake. I've been making these cobweb cakes for the last 18 years, because we all love them.

Made with butternut squash and cinammon, they're best eaten with a cup of coffee while the chocolate topping is still warm.

Happy Halloween, everyone. 🎃 by @karinwalkerauthor

As per usual when I spend time with Spike, fun was the order of the day.
Took him for lunch at a canalside restaurant and he immediately insisted on us chartering a boat afterwards...
Cue the laughter for 55 minutes solid, finished off with a giant rainbow at the end. ❤️ by @karinwalkerauthor

Dartmoor.
What a place. Full of unexpected delights:
Big skies to watch the weather roll in on, switching from horizontal rain and gale-force wind sweeping across the landscape to an eerily calm sun-drenched moor, and back again within minutes. Sunrise, sunset, wild ponies, large flocks of birds, rainbows (I see you, Gran), an independent bakery that sells the most incredible cheese and marmite pastries and other ridiculously tasty baked goods, oh and free hot water for my Lemsip, and a jolly props guy on a scooter, to name but a few...

I love being so fully immersed in the elements. It puts everything into perspective. It makes me feel alive! It makes me feel free! ❤️

I love the sea, but I think the moor wins for me.

A rather splendid Saturday. ❤️ by @karinwalkerauthor

We did a few chores, ending with an impromptu mooch around a second-hand record shop. Max is always content when vinyl and cd shopping, and I was moved to tears (what is wrong with me?! 🙈) when he handed me two cds after leaving the shop, both of them special for different reasons.

I learnt to play the guitar when I was 40, and sang Dusty Springfield's Son of a Preacher Man at a pub with the resident band. It's a favourite memory, brought back to me by Max today.

Oh, and I know this is too many pictures of my Dahlias now, but I love them.
They're all so different, yet the same type of plant and they too are bringing me joy.

If you hear a car go past belting out Dusty Springfield at top volume, it's me! by @karinwalkerauthor

Dahlias, Malbec and a cottage pie bubbling away in the oven.

All the good things. ❤️ by @karinwalkerauthor

In such wonderful company...🤸

Ooh, a bit of coffee shop writing today... 🌼 by @karinwalkerauthor

Tuesday morning went something like this...and it was bloody lovely.

The Help by @kathrynstockettauthor is one of my very favourite books, so it's a joy to dive into The Calamity Club.

My reading time waned in the summer, but the season changeover has kick started that hunger once more.

The pork and fennel sausage roll hit the spot too. I love fennel.

Happy Tuesday, y'all. 🤸
