Friday night felt like the deep exhale I needed to begin wrapping up 2025. Celebrating the work I’ve done over the past 2 years, reconnecting with my some of my beloved @tylerperrystudios fam, and honoring the projects I’ve poured into — #DivorceInTheBlack , #Straw, #RuthAndBoaz and #JoesCollegeRoadTrip (not yet released) — gave me so much joy!

And a quiet personal win: this was my first time stepping onto a red carpet wearing something I created. I designed the stoning on my pants and tie, and honestly … it felt liberating to show up fully as myself, on and off set.

Black creativity doesn’t just participate in history — it styles it. 🖤✨

I helped clothe Bad Bunny’s halftime show that was costume designed by a Black woman & choreographed by a Black woman that became the most-watched in history, during Black History Month. Im still sitting with this, somebody hand me the edge glue please! 😩 This was only my second time working in costumes, my first time was the #WorldSeries back in October of last year. I’m so grateful to be considered & given the opportunity to work major projects like these and with the beautiful team of avengers our Costume Designer @iammoniquelauren assembled. This was a major task to take on and we did it with pride! I was beyond honored to be working with so many legendary Black costumers & designers at the time that I was. This moment felt spiritually-aligned and divinely-guided. I couldn’t stop damn smiling and just thanking God! Looking forward to more moments in life like these as it’s only up from here 🙌🏾

This is the project that challenged me most & made me truly believe in myself. I had no idea how tf I was gonna make this happen when @wavierleflair_ hit me and told me he wanted me to shoot his EP cover art. He sent me the reference photo & I’m like ok cool! Maaan, I’m beyond proud of the work we did & how this turned out. We had to be extremely particular about the poses, which “Wave” was wearing what & the placements so that when @chnace went to work his magic in the editing suite, it’d be perfect! Wave, I appreciate you more than you know bro! Thank you for trusting me to help bring your vision to life brodie. And shout out to the dream team always on set making sh*t happen!
