11.10.26 Karkait s’est formé en 2017 et se compose d’Amos Peled, Ron Sheskin et Daniel Treystman. Trio de metal expérimental, Karkait puisait à ses débuts dans le grindcore, le noise, le black metal et le hardcore, avant de s’ouvrir plus tard à l’improvisation libre, la musique expérimentale, l’électronique et le folk, tout en conservant une base nettement metal. Le groupe est reconnu pour son son chaotique, ses rythmes fracturés et ses prestations scéniques intenses, rejetant les définitions de genre strictes au profit d’une expression émotionnelle et sonore extrême.  Leur nouvel album « To All That Cannot Be Undone », sorti en 2026 sur le label parisien Orthodox, est le tout premier album studio de Karkait. Il marque une transformation radicale pour le groupe, faisant suite à la sortie très remarquée de leur double EP chez Wolves and Vibrancy.  Émergeant initialement à travers une fusion explosive de grindcore, de black metal et de hardcore, le trio expérimental s’est rapidement distingué en repoussant les limites structurales et émotionnelles de la musique extrême. Mais là où leurs œuvres précédentes étaient marquées par des blast beats féroces, de l’angoisse et de l’intensité, « To All That Cannot Be Undone » révèle un groupe étendant son langage vers des territoires plus lents, plus étranges et plus vastes. C’est leur travail le plus audacieux et sans concession à ce jour, un disque qui passe de manière fluide du metal au folk, à la musique concrète, à l’improvisation libre et à l’abstraction sonore, se fondant en une masse continue de pression acoustique et spirituelle.  Leur premier EP, Yekum//Kiyum, est sorti en 2019 chez Orgasmatron Records au format cassette, dans la foulée d’une tournée européenne avec le groupe berlinois Nervös. En 2021, Karkait a signé avec le label allemand Wolves and Vibrancy, qui a publié leur second EP accompagné du premier au format vinyle 12 ». Their new album To All That Cannot Be Undone, released via Paris-based @orthodox_records , pushes this sound into slower, stranger and more expansive territory - moving between extreme metal, musique concrète, improvisation and sonic abstraction while retaining the band’s chaotic intensity. ⫸ Daniella Ljungsberg moves between experimental electronics, electroacoustic composition, and intimate songwriting. Her music combines voice, sampling, field recordings, granular synthesis, and digital processing with influences from Nordic folklore and early music. The result is a detailed, atmospheric sound world in which fragile vocal passages dissolve into abstract textures, playful structures, and subtle electronic manipulation.
