Happy (a little late:) New Year!! Everyone meet my new reading buddy Robert who is so kindly showing us all my January reading list!!

•All Good People Here - for any crime junkie fans this murder mystery is written by the host herself Ashley Flowers 🔦

•City of Girls - this has been on my tbr for awhile…so excited about this one!💥

•Check & Mate - you all already know how I feel about Ali hazelwood! She’s a genius and I have heard nothing by amazing things about this one:) ♟️

•Uniquely Human - a book that was introduced to me through my graduate classes that I can’t wait to read and learn some more🥰

•The Shift - tinx is one of my favorite influencers and her mindset to see life through a positive lens is something I want to incorporate in 2024 ✨

• Iron Flame - YOU GUYS! If you haven’t read fourth wing yet stop everything you’re doing and go get it!! One of my top reads of 2023 I can’t wait to read what violet does in the second book of the series

• Ruthless Vows - the second book to another top read of 2023 “Divine Rivals” I can’t wait to take on the ending to a beautifully written duology 🖊️

although I am a romance girly through and through I can’t help but read a mystery this time of year (don’t worry there is a little bit of a love story in this book:)…and I picked out THE PERFECT ONE. seriously I read this in a day and it gave me the best fall/Halloween vibes…I hope you all love it!

- you love true crime podcasts🎬
- enjoy a relatable main character 🤪

phew, the first 8 weeks of my masters program has taken a toll but I’m happy to say I am back to reading which means I’m back to posting🤩

”The Love Hypothesis” and “Love Theoretically” are the best books for my return🤪. I could not recommend these more. As they can both be read in any order (I suggest reading love hypothesis first:) these books are the perfect fall romance read….science, nerdy banter, and women in STEM creates for an amazing read you won’t be able to put down. I read both in one day!

My synopsis above covers “love theoretically” but I promise you both are equally as amazing!

Read these books if:
You’re a woman in STEM🧬 🧪
Love a relatable character 🤩
Need a book to get out of your fall reading slump 📖 👻

If there is anything you take away from this book review please let it be not the books but the author, Mariana Zapata! She is an instant purchase and read for me. Queen of slow burns her books, although huge, are an easy read and hard to put down. She carefully crafts every romance making it worth the wait!

Read Mariana Zapata if:
- you love a slow burn❤️‍🔥
- want to truly connect with the main characters 😌
- you are eager for a perfect ending (she is queen at those too;)

Lessons in chemistry is a book that I truly can’t describe other than an inspiring read that’s unlike anything I’ve read before. I was hesitant at first but so thankful I started it because once I did I finished in a few days.

- you are in need of some motivation for your summer/life goals ✨
