_On 3 July, the second instalment of “Rave Base Remixes” will be released, featuring a remix by DJ Mo-2-way and one by Jinho & Jim Bean.There is also a remix by Halcyona, by Karmel Jäger.Producer/DJ Karmel Jäger @karmeljager is best known for her dark and frenetic rave sets. Originallya classical musician, she trained at the Sydney Conservatorium and the GuildhallSchool of Music and Drama, performing in the UK and Europe and recording atstudios such as Abbey Road Studios before returning to Sydney and her first love, techno.Karmel has supported the likes of Samurai Breaks, Freshta and StantonWarriors, and her releases have found a home on labels including Extra Spicy,Tooflez Muzik and Choki Biki Records.“Music is the only thing that has ever made complete sense to me. Whatever isgoing on in my life, music is the place I turn to change my mood and findinspiration. I had a lot of fun playing with Halcyona. It’s one of my favourite vocal samplesand I immediately knew I wanted to chop them up and play around with them in away I’ve not heard anyone do yet.
