Two ferns, one mountain forest.

At around 2,000 m in the Carpathians, I found these two species growing among the spruce, both surprisingly large for this altitude.

Dryopteris sp. ( feriga comună) with its long, finely divided fronds, and Polystichum lonchitis ( feriga de stâncă ) more compact and rigid, with glossy evergreen foliage. by @karrapetz_
