Divorce.

A very sensitive chapter of my life that I chose to keep private for a long time. One of the biggest decisions I’ve ever made and definitely not an easy one.

No, this isn’t a post about who was right or wrong. It’s not about blame, or pointing fingers. It’s about choosing peace over chaos, strength over fear, and growth over staying stuck.

Some decisions break you before they build you. This was one of them. There were days filled with doubt, nights heavy with silence, and moments where I questioned everything. But somewhere along the way, I found pieces of myself I didn’t even know I had lost.

Healing is not loud. It’s quiet, messy, and deeply personal. And sometimes, it means walking away from what once felt like home.

I share it for anyone who might be silently fighting their own battles. Just to say, you’re not alone. And choosing yourself is never wrong🧿 by @karthu123

Last year, on this day and at this time, I received a call from the transplant coordinator at Cleveland. A call from CCAD after 5 p.m. is very unusual. I was preparing dinner and answered the call with many assumptions. He told me that they had good news, and I expected him to mention something like a new pain relief medicine, as that was the only thing I thought would make me happy. Instead, he told me that their team had discussed my case and decided to list me for a double lung transplant. I didn’t know how to react. I should have been happy, since that was what we had all been waiting for, but I stood still for a very long time, trying to process what I heard. I didn’t have any questions. He asked me if I was ready, and I said yes. Before he hung up, he told me that I would no longer be allowed to travel, as we could expect the donor at any time. I hung up the phone, sat on the floor for a while, and cried. I still don’t know if those were happy tears or tears for the donor and their family. But today, one year later, I am living my manifested life—the happiest life I have ever lived. Every message, call, smile, and gesture from many meant so much to me. I am forever grateful to everyone who stood by me during the toughest time of my life.🧿❤️

Breath. What a beautiful thing we all take for granted🫁

So let me tell you about something that I was struggling with for the last 5 years. I was an Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension(PAH) patient. A very rare condition without any cure. The reason for this condition still remains unknown. My main struggle was breathing and the pain from the subQ medication and infections. So all my activities were restricted. I have heard people saying labor pain is the most painful thing for a human. But since I have already gone through labor pain, this pain was something way beyond that. When doctor asks me to rate my pain from 0-10 scale during my monthly follow ups, i would always tell him 10. None of the pain killers worked but I still used to take them to fall asleep. My symptoms progressed after I tested positive for covid in Nov 2023. I was finally listed for double Lung transplant by Jan 2024. On 14th Feb, during my routine check up, my doctor walked in with a huge smile and told me that my donor is ready. After 5 years of silent battle, I can finally breathe without any struggle and walk without any pain♥️ 🧿

I needed this pause more than I realized❤️ by @karthu123

You know what I miss the most? This girl. This girl in the picture.

She thought life would get easier once she grew up. She believed that once the studies were over, the exams were done, and the responsibilities finally came to an end, there would be peace. If I could trade places with my younger self, I would go back in a heartbeat and choose those old worries again.

Back then, our parents quietly carried their problems so we could live in peace. Today, we quietly carry ours so they can live happily. Funny how life changes. The people who once protected us from the weight of the world are now the people we try to protect from ours.

The older you get, the more you realize that growing up isn’t really about becoming free. It’s about collecting responsibilities, making difficult choices, understanding things you once didn’t have to think about, and learning to keep going even when you’re tired.

And somehow, the older I get, the more I miss the younger version of myself. I miss the version of my family that had fewer worries, fewer responsibilities, and more time. I miss the days when happiness was simple and we didn’t even realize how precious those moments were.

We spent so much of our childhood wishing we could grow up, never knowing that one day we’d give anything to go back.

Life before all these responsibilities was a blessing we took for granted. And maybe that’s the strangest part of growing up.. we spend our younger years waiting for the future, only to spend our future longing for the past.

Not all damage leaves visible scars.
I thought life was unfair to me.. I carried so much pain, so many unanswered questions, and moments where I truly believed I couldn’t go on. But today, when I look back, I see how far I’ve come. I see the battles I’ve fought, the tears I’ve cried, and the nights I begged God just to let me wake up without pain. What I once asked for in desperation, He gave me in ways I never imagined. Not just a day, but a life filled with moments I never thought I’d get to experience. The scars are still there, the memories of suffering haven’t vanished, but they remind me that I survived. I made it through what I thought would break me. And in that, I’ve found a strength I never believed I had❤️🧿 by @karthu123

I will hold you through every version of life and one day, we’ll live its most beautiful version❤️🧿 by @karthu123

This year began with surprises I wasn’t ready for… and somehow, they keep coming, every single day.

Life feels like a rollercoaster ride.. unpredictable, fast, sometimes terrifying, sometimes breathtaking. I’ve always compared my life to one. You hold on, not knowing what’s coming next, just trusting that the ride will eventually slow down.

Because deep down, you know it’s not forever. The highs don’t last, the lows don’t either. Everything passes.

Just like life… nothing is permanent. It’s all a matter of time.

Even the hardest moments will eventually fade and the good ones, they’re worth holding on to a little longer. by @karthu123

Unlike her usual birthdays, this time the demands slowed down. No themes, no big party, no fancy cake or decor.
Just her favorite brownie.
She chose simple. She chose happiness. And somehow, that made it even more special❤️🧿
