In 2018, they dropped me off here as a freshman. 8 years later, I’m opening a cafe here? No one would have thought. My parents are my backbone and Kash Cafe is the definition of family to me. #gobears taken in Bancroft by @kash.cafe

I think I can finally answer this question, now that I feel some type of flow state. It feels like love. It feels scary, hard, and boring at times, but more times, it feels exciting, rewarding, and purposeful. I feel tapped into my faith. It feels like my own relationship with God grows deeper the more I work on myself whether that’s as a leader, making a better matcha, or being a better communicator. I feel my team’s love. I see the love in our guests who are also tapped into something they’re creating or taking that first leap. This journey is scary but so is going on a rollercoaster or being a beginner at anything. And that’s the fun of it. Because at the end of the day, only the present is guaranteed so we might as well take the leap.

I never thought I’d open a cafe but I’ve been living life by the feels and my heart brought me here. One thing and one person to another brought me to opening Kash Cafe.

I couldn’t tell you why I opened this cafe.

I think it’s because I love feeling things deeply and I love seeing other people feel free to do the same.

I just listened to my heart, and learned that love means commitment all the days I wanted to give up or do nothing.

And now? This is LOVE. The laughter, the dancing, the creativity, the connection.

The vision is greater than me. It lives in the team bringing KASH to life and the community filling it with love.

Thank you for showing up for 222, our final soft opening pop-up! You were the right people, in the right place, at the right time. I can’t wait to keep sharing this with you. 🤎

I am HARD launching that our KASH Café officially opens daily starting Thursday, October 1, from 10 AM–6 PM, across from UC Berkeley.
