Atlanta, watch this. Then go vote. 🗳️

That’s @tanyaforgeorgia at the Atlanta Press Club debate, telling Georgia exactly what the job is. The Attorney General’s job is to enforce the law and protect the people of this state. It is not to be anybody’s personal lawyer.

I’ve worked alongside a lot of public servants. Tanya is the real thing. She’s a seasoned prosecutor who has stood in courtrooms and fought for victims when it was hard and nobody was watching. She doesn’t need on-the-job training. She’s ready on day one.

Georgia, this race matters.

✅ Early voting is happening RIGHT NOW, through Friday, October 30
✅ Election Day is Tuesday, November 3
✅ Find your polling place at mvp.sos.ga.gov

Don’t wait. Let’s send Tanya Miller to the Attorney General’s office. 💯🔥🚀 by @kasimreed

What does it take to become mayor of a major American city? According to former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed @kasimreed , you might only need 21 people.

Reed explains how political campaigns begin with a surprisingly small circle of people who believe in an idea. It starts with conversations, shared vision, and the ability to persuade others to join the journey.

Atlanta’s version of Rodeo Drive started with a developer’s ambitious vision for Buckhead.

Kasim Reed @kasimreed , former Mayor of Atlanta, recalls how developer Dean Oliver approached him about the project and envisioned creating a high-end shopping destination unlike anything else in the city.

That vision ultimately became what Reed describes as Buckhead Atlanta, today a premium shopping destination.

Kasim Reed @kasimreed , former Mayor of Atlanta, recalls taking office with a clear objective: make the city safe. He committed to building the police department to 2,000 officers while doing so in a way he says was humane and consistent with Atlanta’s values.

He says the city ultimately built the biggest police force in its history and reduced crime to its lowest levels in more than 40 years.

What made Kasim Reed @kasimreed believe he could win the race for Atlanta mayor?

At 39, Reed believed that ability to keep going gave him an edge in a campaign where physicality mattered.

For the former mayor, the experience also revealed something he believes has become a lost art in politics: the ability to physically connect with as many people as possible.

Honored to serve as one of the two inaugural Impact Scholars for the @uofpenn Public Service and Policy Initiative, a first-of-its-kind program launched by my friend, former Philadelphia Mayor @michael_nutter, at the Weitzman School of Design at Penn. For eight years, I had the privilege of leading Atlanta through recovery and renewal, eight balanced budgets, safer neighborhoods, restored fiscal health, a record surplus and a city that believed in itself again. I am pleased to take what I experienced and put it to work alongside Penn’s researchers and students.

The work of public service does not end when you leave office. It continues by contributing to the next generation of leaders who will carry our cities forward.

Excited.  Energized.  Ready. 💯🔥🚀 by @kasimreed

Tonight at 4 & 5, Only on @11alive

We sit down for a very special conversation with four of Atlanta’s former mayors: Ambassador Andrew Young, Bill Campbell, Shirley Franklin and Kasim Reed.

Together, they carry decades of stories. They’ve made history, broken barriers and made decisions that helped shape the Atlanta we know today.

The former mayors came together for the American Contract Compliance Association’s 40th Anniversary National Training Institute, bringing Atlanta’s leadership legacy into a larger conversation about the city’s global influence and future.

At a time when diversity initiatives have become a point of national debate, we talk about Atlanta’s long push for inclusion across business, economic development and civic leadership and whether the city’s history can offer a blueprint for the rest of the country.

It was an honor and a privilege to have this opportunity, and one I certainly do not take for granted.

A huge thank you to @acca.nti for allowing our cameras in and giving us a rare opportunity to hear from four leaders who helped shape Atlanta, together, in one conversation

Tune in tonight at 4 & 5, only on @11alive

Grace Lee was love in action. When she was in your presence you knew she was uncommon. The rarest among us have a way of lifting others higher, of making you believe you can do more and be more. This loss is tough for me because there was so much between us. We shared moments of uncontrollable laughter, thoughtful conversation, and the comfort of silence. It is difficult to accept that a spirit as strong and as generous as hers will no longer be present in the ways we are used to. The air feels heavier today because we all know we have lost something special. Goodbye Grace. Heaven must have needed you. My deepest prayers are with your wonderful family. We will carry you in our hearts always. @gracemyjourney 🕊️ #CRU #Cruzado #GraceLee by @kasimreed

Today, we mourn the loss of one of the great moral voices of our time. Reverend Jesse Jackson was more than a civil rights leader. He was a conscience for America and a champion for people across the world who believed in justice, dignity, and opportunity.

For me, Reverend Jackson was a source of wisdom, encouragement, and conviction. He would sometimes call and pray with me, and always ended those prayers the same way: “If the moment ever arises when you are tired and you stumble, get back up. Because the ground is no place for a champion.” In fact, whenever I would see him, he would lean in and whisper, “The ground is no place for a champion.” In many ways, his counsel and example shaped my leadership and strengthened my resolve in moments that demanded faith.

For Atlanta, he was family. Our city stands at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, and Reverend Jackson’s life’s work strengthened that legacy. He reminded us that progress is not permanent. It must be protected and expanded with courage.

For the world, he was a tireless advocate for human rights and economic justice. From American cities to the global stage, he carried the voices of the marginalized into rooms of power. He challenged systems, opened doors, and expanded what was possible.

Reverend Jesse Jackson leaves behind a legacy of faith in action. He showed us that hope requires discipline, resilience, and the courage to rise again.

My prayers are with his family and the countless lives he touched. May we honor him not only with words, but by continuing the work and by remembering that the ground is no place for a champion. 🕊️ @revjjackson by @kasimreed
