Volleyball season is over. And for years now I've watched my girls play the sport and have seen families of seniors cry and be emotional after that "last game". It breaks my heart to see my girls play this sport for the last time. But most importantly it was awesome to see that they have been teammates that were supportive no matter what their situation was. They have been on the bench hyping up the seniors, they have been the ones just trying to find more playing time, they have been the ones trying to navigate new coaches every year and still be productive, they have been the upperclassmen that had plenty of time to play and make an impact! I've been on this Rollercoaster ride even out of season where my girls played almost every weekend to get better and my advice to anyone out there, love the moment! Don't get caught up in the drama. It will be over before you know it. Things won't be perfect but let your kids know it's ok to mess up and you will love them anyway.
This season obviously wasn't the most ideal when it comes to wins and losses but somehow it was the best year we've had since being in high school. So for that I'm thankful. Small wins are good for the soul!
I'm very proud of my girls because they love their teammates and loved to see them win as individuals. Relationships and how you treat people will always be more memorable than wins and losses!
Volleyball has been good to my girls and good for them! Always proud of my ladies!
