PDX Mission Trip ‘26!!

“Where there are no oxen, the feeding trough is empty, but an abundant harvest comes through the strength of an ox.” -Proverbs 14:4

This verse became a picture of ministry for me this week. Ministry is hard. It’s messy. It’s exhausting. But it’s always worth it.

Sometimes we want a “clean barn” where everything is organized, comfortable, and under control. But that’s not what a barn is for.

A barn is meant to hold tools and welcome animals in to eat and rest. And when the oxen come in, things get messy. They knock things over. They leave a mess behind. That’s simply what happens when the barn is being used for its purpose.

The same is true of ministry.

If the barn is messy, it means the work is happening. Lives are being changed. People are being loved. The Gospel is being lived out.

So don’t be discouraged by the mess. Embrace it. Be willing to clean it up. Keep serving faithfully, because an abundant harvest only comes through the strength of the ox.

Summer at the Creek!! ☀️✨🌈

What a privilege it has been to serve at Falls Creek this summer!! I had the opportunity to watch lives be changed, experience true joy in the Lord, and serve alongside some of my very best friends.

The Lord mended my heart in more ways than I can count and taught me so much. He reminded me that there is true JOY in being a believer because He is more than worthy of all our praise. He also showed me that the absence of my earthly father only magnifies the presence of my Heavenly Father. His faithfulness has never failed me. He is continually drawing me near to His feet!!

Freshman year at OBU: the year of pruning and growing.
The year God stripped away what I thought I needed just to show me who I really am in Him.

I learned that vulnerability is beautiful. That healing happens in honesty. That the best friendships are the ones that see every version of you and not only choose you, but choose to push you toward the Lord for comfort and discipline.

Somehow, through every hard conversation, every late night, every laugh-until-you-cry moment, and every season of feeling lost and found again, God was orchestrating it all.

Poiema- Ephesians 2:10.

This year reminded me that we are intentionally created, deeply known, and lovingly shaped by the hands of a good Father. And wow, what a gift this year has been. PLC, Kappas, CAB, Fishbowl, and even my job have all become some of my favorite parts of life. Ooo and assurance in my calling to Teaching! What a gift! I’m so excited to teach young minds!!! I’m so thankful the Lord has provided such sweet gifts and people along the way.

My family is a testament of God’s grace and kindness to me.

The Lord has used my circumstances to shape and prune me. Much like the silversmith with his silver, the Lord is continually refining me to see His reflection. I am so thankful for a God who refines, shapes, and prunes me.

I believe our stories hold power, not just to heal us, but to help others. When we’re brave enough to share where we’ve been, we remind people that they aren’t alone in their struggles. The things that once caused shame can become testimonies of resilience. By embracing our stories instead of running from them, we can bring vulnerability to conversations. There is beauty in vulnerability, it brings connection to others.

PDX Mission Trip ‘25! The Lord is so kind. What a blessing it was to spend a week in a city I adore, serving at One Hope Fellowship. We got to spend the week helping with VBS, as well as doing service projects for Pastor Ricardo and his church family.

All of heaven rejoiced as 10 kids came to know the Lord at the end of the week. The Lord is amazing, so kind, and very intentional. I am so thankful for those I got to serve alongside, but also for Pastor Ricardo and his family. They faithfully serve the Lord day in and day out in the city of Portland.
