I have so many sets from this beautiful elopement to share … but these ones of them getting into the lake after their ceremony may (no guarantees 💅) be my favorite of the bunch. There is nothing like pregnancy to remind us how incredible a woman’s body is. She is creation, she is strength, she is beauty. @ivymanortemecula gave me and my bestie @chantelnikole_hair the perfect place to create comfortably. How lucky am I to shoot here?! I have no greater love language than telling the story of my loved ones through my lens. Scrolling through this post I hope you saw and felt what I did - the love from my best friend @nikienouveau spilling over in small moments for her son Witcher, her two daughters on the way, and her incredible husband @robiscoffee who was also filming to tell his own family story (AKA pregnancy and twin announcement!!!) at the same time 💖
•
My month of August was incredibly tough - life was lost, and then here comes my best friend reminding me that life is also given. It was such an honor and labor of love to help make this happen for my favorite people. I feel so grateful to live in where I feel is the most beautiful place in the world and now I get to share it with the people I love so deeply. Life is truly worth living - thank you friends - I love all FIVE of you with all of my heart 💖

If I could only show someone one post to convince them whether or not to work with me, it would likely be this one. One of the reasons I became a photographer was to make people FEEL something after looking back at our session’s photos - whether it was a solo shoot or a shoot with their partner, I wanted the moment I captured to feel like love and passion in whatever way it existed in our shoot. Looking at these photos, I feel accomplished in that goal. Harleigh and Ezra made it so incredibly easy to capture their love - I think I felt as excited after this session as they did, and they had just gotten engaged!! Congratulations again to you both, and thank you for allowing me the intimate pleasure of capturing it; I feel so grateful 🖤💍

And one last one of this genderbend of a photoshoot. Capturing queerness in all of its glory is one of my favorite uses of my camera. In this moment in history, we will forever remember those that embraced our queerness and made space for us, just as we will remember those who actively took our spaces away or couldn’t be bothered to fight for our right to be here.
