Ever since high school, I’ve been told I look like Katey Sagal, especially back in her Peggy Bundy days on Married… with Children! 😂❤️ And here we are, all these years later, and I STILL hear it!

So I figured I’d share a picture of each of us and see what everyone thinks! Swipe over and tell me, do y’all see the resemblance, or have people been pulling my leg all these years? 🤣

Do it for your heart. Do it for your cardiovascular health. Do it for stronger muscles and bones. Do it for your mental health. Do it because moving your body can change how you feel about yourself and improve your overall health.

Walk. Run. Ride a bike. Lift weights. It doesn’t matter what you choose—just find something you enjoy and MOVE. You don’t have to be the fastest, go the farthest, or compete with anyone but yourself.

I’m 53 years old, and I’m still challenging myself, setting new goals, and finding out just how much my body is capable of. Some days it’s a few miles, some days it’s 10+, and some days simply showing up is enough.

You are never too old to start taking better care of yourself. Start where you are, do what you can, and build from there. Do it for your health. Do it for your future. But most importantly, do it for YOU. ❤️💪🏼👟🚴🏻‍♀️ by @kat50_2023

This one hurts. 💔

I grew up with Dolly Parton’s music playing in our home. My mama loved Dolly, and “Coat of Many Colors” was always her favorite. I can still hear those songs playing and picture my mama singing along.

Dolly’s music is woven through so many different parts of my life. Jolene, 9 to 5, I Will Always Love You… and “Islands in the Stream,” which I absolutely loved all the way back in the 4th grade. It’s funny how a song can instantly take you back to exactly who you were and where you were when you loved it.

And then there are the memories tied to my mama. You hear one song and suddenly you’re right back there again—with the people you love, in moments you never realized would become so precious.

I always dreamed of meeting Dolly someday, but sadly I never got that chance. I also loved that my grandson got to experience a little piece of her too—he always enjoyed receiving his books every month through Dolly’s Imagination Library. From my childhood to his, she touched generations of our family.

Losing Dolly feels like losing another little piece of my childhood. But what a gift she gave us—music that became the soundtrack to our lives and memories that will live long after the songs stop playing.

And whenever I hear Coat of Many Colors, I’ll always think of my mama.

Life has a way of testing you when you’re already carrying more than you think you can handle. There have been moments when I’ve questioned how I’d make it through, but every challenge has taught me something about myself.

I’m working toward my degree, and while the road hasn’t been easy, I refuse to let difficult circumstances decide my future. Progress isn’t always fast, and it isn’t always pretty, but every step forward is still progress.

I’ve learned that strength isn’t about never struggling. It’s about getting back up every single time life tries to knock you down. Some days I feel exhausted. Some days I wonder how everything will work out. But giving up has never been part of my plan. I don’t know exactly how I’ll get there, but I do know this: somehow, some way, I will finish school. I didn’t come this far to let the final stretch define my story.

So if you’re in a season where life feels heavy, keep going. The chapter you’re in right now isn’t the end of your story.

I’m still standing.

Three years ago, I made the decision to go back to school to build a better future. After countless late nights, sacrifices, and hard work, I’m finally within reach of graduating this December.

Unfortunately, I may not be able to finish because I can’t afford the remaining tuition.
