So while I was staying in Copenhagen with a dear friend of mine,
They recommended a bikepacking route that they had planned but never ridden.
The plan was to catch the train to Lund and ride a route up to Stockholm.

Coming off about a month of touring and racing,
My legs were feeling pretty juicy and strong,
So 650km (403 miles) felt pretty do-able.

What can I say about the trip?
Incredible?
Wet?
Helf fuelled?
Emotional?

Maybe all the above.

But happy to have blasted through this route and to catch up with some @sthlmess homies.

(Shout to the homies that listened to my rant/cry for hours on the phone 🥰🥰😘😘)

Another belated Instagram upload of my time @cmwc2026
Honestly struggled to find enough content
(Guess I wasn't recording enough)

Milano was an experience.
It was hot, the traffic was spicy and the people were super cute.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FUCKING HUGE COBBLESTONES (I lived)

An outstanding time at the event.
Placed 2nd at the CX race (my back will never recover)

Pretty sure I lost my ECMC jersey at the campsite,
Oh well.

But other than that,
Bread, alcohol free beer and porridge were the main diet choices.

I apologise for the delay with the content for @suicmc26
Been burnt out (physically and mentally)

Was in a pretty rough headspace and wasn't doing too well. (Thank you to everyone that I've called and chatted too 💕) Doing a lot better now.

But fuck,
What a ride,
I was nearly at my breaking point most of the days during this ride and I'm so glad I pushed through.

I've done so much
Highlights include
- descending at 60-70km/hr for like 45 minutes and blasting through a border crossing
- sleeping in a bunker under a theatre (YAY SHOWER)
- seeing snow capped mountains 🥹
- eating so much food (that might actually be healthy 🥲)
- 1st place in a skid comp
- sharing my incredibly greasy pizza with a homie

Big shout out to the new and old friends I've made,
Been so good to actually meet y'all!!!

Wow,
So Berlin.
A few notes to make,
"Is it a bike path or a footpath?"
"How are there so many cobbled roads?"
"Why am I fuelled by Club-mate and bread?"

Raced in WTBNIA* and placed 15/21
Overall finished 53/63 overall
(So I still have more training to do)

I was in Melbourne (Naarm) for a week to help a mate move, run an alleycat and catch up with some old friends.

I had an excellent time,

Decided to put some flat bars back on the Grovel and make it full mech 🤌🤌

This bike has had a life and I love how it's currently built.

Big plans coming up soon with Pre-ECMC, ECMC, SUICMC, CMWC and a bit of a bikepacking trip in Europe.

Hopefully I've saved up my dollarydoos to be able to finish the trip 🤣

Got a bit of fine tuning on this bike (yes it's a 130mm stem and feels like a boat)
But overall,
Pretty solid and THICC (like 15 kg as is I think, or like 33 pounds in FREEDOM UNITS 🦅)

Could probably scrub some weight
But we will see.

Hit me for Euro suggestions
I'll be coming back from Europe with a tan and Shimano sandals for sure.

😳😳😳😳😳
So @cmwc2025sydney.....
So I've been training (gym) for this event since March?????
And I had one goal..
Get into mains....
And I did.

I'm stoked on getting in,
Really am,
But my results weren't where I wanted them to be when mains rolled around.
(Yes I'm overly critical of myself)
But I had multiple factors going against me.

But, upon reflection....
Is the event about the racing???
Or is it more about the celebration of the community and the friends you catch up with/make.

I gave the event the best attempt I could make,
And hey,
I got into mains 🦵🦵 (had the best post race cry in the tunnel on the way back to HQ)

I would also love to give a shout out to THE HOUSE OF HELF,
@bacon_bitzz opened her house up to a whole bunch of strangers and we all had an incredible time.
@themadcyclist @wasteisfake @earlyescaper @d1xiewhiskey y'all are beautiful people.
We had a very busy house.
But I miss y'all heaps.

Wrapping up the event,
It was incredible and I had an excellent time (with a few exceptions, but those are for a conversation for another time).
I'm looking forward to seeing the homies (hopefully) in Berlin and Milan for ECMC and CMWC...

On the way back home at the moment after nearly 2 weeks of #trackpacking
And do I have some thoughts.
Firstly,
Not a single issue with the bike,
(Outside of losing a cleat)
The set-up I was running was perfect and comft enough.
I liked where all my gear was sitting.
(Should have bought casual shoes and pants)

But would I do it again?
Maybe,
Look pushing a bit of a heavier gear (47-18) was great on the flats
But would have loved something a little lighter
(But then again, SS touring is trash)

And not running brakes was a unique choice.
Brakeless looks rad as fuck,
"Trusting my legs" is cool
But hauling around the extra weight and skidding on marathons was a workout in itself, and I wouldn't want to do it for a long time.

Lastly,
Big thanks to @666.rtm for accompanying me on part of this trip and breaking their bikepacking/ gravel cherry (they are looking at gears and big tyres 👀👀👀)
