I haven’t posted much about myself but with the few of you who are new.. welcome!! 💛😘

I’m Kat and I’ll be turning 26 on February 3rd (in 2 days yes🤭) I’m a reader as well as a writer ✍️ My favorite genres are romance, fantasy, contemporary, mystery.. and much more! I’m always open to try something new so any book recommendations don’t be shy to DM them my way 👀

Some cool facts: I’m an iced coffee girlie that owns a cat named Neo 😉 My favorite color is pink 🎀 and I have a Star Wars tattoo on my leg 🚀 I love many music genres but pop and metal are my go-to. I’m also Argentinian/Peruvian 🇦🇷🇵🇪 living in FL.

Charleston, SC was an absolute dream 💛 just like the other stores I visited, this is a romance bookstore(Sweeter than Fiction) located on King St

Very cute and small store with a bunch of romance categories to browse through. However I wished it had a spot designated for non spicy books. The staff mentioned how it’s meant to be an adult store but I feel like romance books is more than just smut. Oh and sadly they don’t do blind date with a book 😔

Also visited a cat cafe about a 5 min walk away. Lovely place but definitely check to see if there’s cats haha. I went during a time most had gotten adopted and only seven were in(all of them were sleeping expect two) cafe is a very loose term too— I’m pretty super it’s drip coffee so if you go don’t go for the coffee 😅

-Sweet than Fiction
-Pounce

When I went to these two spots I noticed I don’t fit in. Not that there’s anything wrong with these people, but I don’t get along even with book girls in the same way. I like solitude and I don’t like small talk. It’s a reason I love to read. I love the way I can be on my own and that I can have fun on my own without needing company.

I went to SC by myself. It was my first solo trip and I was scared at first but surprisingly I had a lot of fun. It was peaceful and I could do what I want, go where I want, without needing to consult someone else first. I will definitely be doing more solo trips from now on 💛

Stayed in Charleston, SC for three days and it was stunning. Definitely love the city vibes mixed with the old architectural style. I loved how walkable everything was and how much history was preserved(last four slides so you can see how beautiful this area was) I took sooo many photos but of course this is a book account haha

I visited Ladybird Books and purchased a blind date with a book as well as a memoir about birds 😊 there’s also a huge library located on that same street a few blocks away- didn’t get a chance to go in but I can imagine the books inside!

-Ladybird Books
-Charleston Library Society
(Both located on King St in Charleston, SC)

This area had another lovely bookstore so stay tuned for the next post 💛

Spent three days in Ellijay, GA and it was amazing 💛

I rented a cabin(last slide) in the middle of the woods and up a mountain and it was so beautiful. Scary drive ngl but absolutely stunning views that had a small trail leading to a creek. During my stay I visited an antique store that had old edition books in peak condition and a coffee shop that doubled as a bookstore 👀

-Mountain Town Antiques
-Hemlock Bazaar
(located in downtown Ellijay, GA)

Everyone was simply so kind here and the weather was literally a breath of fresh air- especially when I’ve been living in FL(aka the sunshine state) for practically all my life.

Decided to give a go at The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and honestly I’m intrigued! Only about 30 pgs in but so far I like it so that’s definitely a good sign when I’ve been in this reading slump for so long 😅😭

Only downside with this trip.. I somehow got sick 🥲 my body hurts, head hurts, and I’m a little sleep deprived but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this little vacay 💛

I hope everyone has been doing well 😊 looking forward to being more active on here 💛

Hii all it’s been a while! Not exactly a book store but I visited a cute little stationery store while on vacay.

I’ll be honest I haven’t been reading at all, not since August. Lots of things happened in that time(both good and bad) and it feels like the universe gave me the biggest push to finally get out of the little circle I was in. The hardest part was when I realized my “friends” weren’t actually my friends and once I set boundaries it’s like their mask finally slipped off and I was able to leave it all behind.
In that same time frame I had met a man and spent months of my time getting to know him, I thought I had finally met the one when he told he loved me only for him to leave me a week later.
And then of course to top it all off, I was admitted to the hospital for a few days(nothing major) but enough for me to reevaluate my life. I’m moving up, I’m focusing on myself, my career, and my happiness. No man and no fake friends will be holding me back anymore. And honestly… since I made the decision to leave it all in the past and move forward my life got so much better. I’m much happier and more carefree than ever.

I haven’t been reading books, but not because I’m sad or unmotivated, I’m just living in the now and I haven’t had the time to focus on anything other than where my life is heading now. I’ll get back on it eventually. Because obviously I love to read! But for right now it’s like im finally living 💛

Happy International Cat Day 🐱

Featuring my little girl, Trinity. She’s a handful to take pictures of but a very sweet girl that just wants cuddles 💛 she’s my forever reading buddy even tho she does tend to bite and chew on my books 😂

Some facts about Trinity
-she doesn’t like cat treats
-she doesn’t meow she squeaks
-she’s a thief(stealing all my lip glosses and hair ties)

July Wrap Up 🌸

Little late but finally got around to making the edit 💛
Haven’t read much but I managed to finish two books, and I was obsessed with them so I’ll take it as a win!

And I got a hefty chuck out of Shield of Sparrows, a very very long book. Other than that, I went to my local Barnes to check out the closing sale and scored 12(yes 12!) books ‼️

I’m excited for August, but also a little stressed! It’s been BUSY at work, working full hours with not much time to read 😭 However, I have a trip coming up mid August that I’m super stoked for 🤭 (stayed tuned for vlogs, and fun posts 👀)

Here’s to a wonderful August and hoping to get some good reads in 🤞

The way I’m giggling at myself for this stupid but very charming post 😂

Had to immediately snatch the new olipop that came out and can say the pineapple flavor is very good 🍍
Still very much reading Shield of Sparrows, I’m at 60% rn. I love it so much but I’ve been working so much 😭

QOTD: Have you tried the olipops before and if so what’s your favorite flavor? 👀

Showing off my favorite one I have: Star Wars 😉
Got the day off today FINALLY so imma attempt to get through most (if not all) of Shield of Sparrows 📖
It’s rainy and gloomy outside so perfect time to sit and do what I love 💛 I’m loving this book soo much and this is a book club book too!

QOTD: what are yall reading today?
