Went exploring Bishop creek with my family yesterday and it didn’t disappoint! Beautiful views and great fishing I can wait to get this entire video out 🙌🏽 🎣🍁 Finally got to put the 5’6 TANTO @katanarodsllc to the test and it passed with flying colors helping me bush wack through the forest and keep some nice trout pinned . Freshly spooled Reel with @sinisterstrand braid and our Mini jigs was the other piece to the puzzle 🧩 🎣 We will be back up next week for some end of the season action. Always Trophy hunting in Oregon and it never disappoints 🙌🏽 Beginning of the trip we @seaspankeroutdoors we’re struggling using the same techniques we used from our trip there the year before . We switched Gears and started Throwing our High Altitude Spoons and bang ❗️ Trophy after trophy Bows, tigers and plenty of Browns ! Our spoons paired with 6lb @sinisterstrand braid and fluorocarbon on our New Spoon Rod TETSU @katanarodsllc were no match for these fish. Jigging usually out fishes all other methods but there are those days when something else will work better . The Sierras always have a way of making you want to go back for more adventures. Every trip has been fun and amazing in its own way. After landing two beautiful brook trout, I was already feeling good about the trip. I started experimenting with different lures and just enjoying my time out there. Then I decided to tie on a @forestjp_fishing Native Spoon, 6.8g.

I cast it out on my @katanarodsllc Tetsu with 6lb braid and a 4lb leader. Made two turns of the reel, and then BAM! A massive take. I set the hook and was on! I didn’t realize how big he was until he started putting up a serious fight. The Tetsu stood its ground while I worked him in. Finally, a beautiful 5lb rainbow trout was in the bag! Thanks to #1 net guy @krawrvin for help me land this beast.. thanks to @thefishingrt for the rad footage as well can’t to do this again boy’s @sierranets by @katanarodsllc

Really got into them monster’s at the 2026 Pyramid Opener. Nothing legendary on this trip but lots of 9-15’s and some of them have definitely been working out in the offseason. Had a blast fishing with @tay_oceanski @chrome_charters_guide_service and @gsfcustombaits. A new season, new colors, new species! The colors on these two brook trout are absolutely incredible. These aquatic creatures are vibrantly beautiful, and figuring them out took some patience. After dialing down to a 1.1g spoon from @forestjp_fishing, paired with my @katanarodsllc Tetsu rod, I started twitching the spoon upward from the bottom during my retrieve. Then, I saw one commit, reeled down, and set the hook. Fish on! I was beyond excited, shouting to my friends, “I GOT A BROOKE” landing it @sierranets net of course by @katanarodsllc

What a two day trip to Oregon !😮‍💨🙌🏽🎣 It started out ruff what was working last year for us didn’t this time. we adapted and used our New High altitude spoons and bang ❗️Trophy Browns a few nice tigers and a bunch of rainbow! I can’t wait to hit this state hard next year ! I want a double digit brown ! Great time fishing with @seaspankeroutdoors we slayed them hard using our Spoons paired with our new 7’6 TETSU @katanarodsllc and that extra high quality @sinisterstrand 6lb braid and fluorocarbon leader ! Started up in Oregon ended in pyramid for the opener great trip with the boys. We were having to grind for these fish but persistence and being diverse payed off big time… My @katanarodsllc performed flawlessly hooking and bringing to the boat fish after fish with no issue… @gsfcustombaits kept the fish wanting to eat with diverse natural color patterns and a lifelike presentation. @sinisterstrand braid held tough through every big fish caught and left no question on it’s strength and durability. What a great trip with @trout_titans @trouttastic_ another one for the books. by @katanarodsllc

22.59 💥💥💥New Personal best and finally found that 20+ Giant. Definitely a grind at the Pyramid opener but stuck with it and the boys and I were definitely rewarded. Not a lot of numbers this trip but definitely quality. Fish caught on @gsfcustombaits shmedium white gold tube paired with my @katanarodsllc pyramid rod! by @katanarodsllc

Visiting the Eastern Sierra is always an absolute pleasure. 🏔️🎣

@forestjp_fishing spoons are always in the bag and ready to go. Their Native Series definitely hit the mark figuring out the right color combinations was almost too easy. From big lakes to small streams and creeks, they were getting bit!

It was also a great way to break in my new @katanarodsllc rod. This thing has already stood up to the kind of beating my gear takes from the environments I love exploring.

And of course, the @sierranets is always coming along for the adventure. There’s something special about carrying a handmade net into the mountains and putting it to work.

The seasons are changing, and you can see it everywhere—the leaves shifting through their full spectrum of yellows, oranges, and everything in between. 🍂

Honestly, I’m already thinking about when I can make my way back into the mountains for the next adventure. The Eastern Sierra always seems to leave you wanting more.

I took out the NEW Katana Tanto 5’6” ultralight stream/creek rod and man was it a blast to fish with. Don’t let its small size fool ya, its got all the sensitivity and feel that Katana Rods are known for. The more compact design really helps getting through less accessible areas to fish smaller bodies of water. Another amazing trip to the Eastern Sierras! Cooler weather and the bite was on fire 🔥🎣 Had an absolute slay fest at both Little and Big Virginia Lakes. These fish were absolutely loving the @gsfcustombaits Mini Jigs and High Altitude Spoons! Kept these fish pinned with my @katanarodsllc, paired with the best braid on the market @sinisterstrand 4 lb braided line. 💪🎣
