I am so excited and honored to announce that I've been selected to represent Ohio in VSCO's The Fifty 🥹 @vsco IS PUTTING ME ON A BILLBOARD! My photograph of Alayna was selected by @vsco for The Fifty, a series of billboards featuring 50 photographers (one from each state) throughout the US. I'm very proud to represent Ohio- where I was born and raised, and where I continue to live and grow my work and photo career. This image was taken during the last day of summer in 2020. @kylazoerafert had clothes drying on the line on her property, and @alaynas.chair was reminiscing about playing in the clothesline in the backyard where she grew up, so it was the perfect opportunity to recreate the memory. ❤️ Stay tuned for more details (& the location of the billboard)! #vsco #thefifty by @kate_sweeney
My Mommy 🕊 12/11/63 - 3/30/25 💔 There's an infinite amount of things I could say. You are the reason for everything. You are the biggest force, the brightest sun. You are fire, and light, and laughter, and palpable electricity. I will never recover. I will always miss your smile. I can't wait to see you again someday. You are my home, my source, my future, my life, my purpose. I am eternally grateful to be yours. Being yours is undeniable. I learned everything from you. We share lungs. We share skin and bones and heart and soul. I don't even know what we will do without you. Every kid became hers. Every animal she saw she loved with her whole spirit. Her soul is unconditional. She overcame mountains. She broke cycles and carved her essence into everyone she met like carving a name into a tree. We were so lucky to get to work on set together and share in our creativity. The vision. The light. The smile. The love. I could go on forever. by @kate_sweeney
