Two years ago today we pulled up to our new home, here in North-West Tucson, with a jet ski attached to the back of a U-Haul and Nori in the cab between the two of us. I couldn’t have been happier when we finally reached the house, we were so tired and still a little sick from having Covid the week before the move. Hiring movers to take everything down 3 flights of stairs and load it into the U-Haul, was the best thing I’ve ever spent money on! 💰 The road trip from Maryland to Tucson took us 3 long days. I had planned that all along, we just wanted to knock it out. However, the $1,500 of gas that got us here was not previously accounted for, haha! My car was brought here by a car transport service, I was not gonna drive my WRX across the country too, she is too bougie. We cleaned, painted and fixed up my condo down to the very last second. Exhausted, I took one last look around at all the money and hard work I spent making that place beautiful. Then off we went… I drove the first two days since Greysen re-fractured his ankle/foot an hour before we took off... from trying to hitch the jet ski onto the stubborn ball hitch. These trucks also do not have cruise control, or at least ours didn’t, so that was fun for my leg and foot. Ouch… after 15 hours in one day. And here we are 2 years later, we love the home that we have built together. It’s not perfect and needs a lot of work, but I love it in Tucson.
