I’ve hesitated to share my thesis because it reveals my most vulnerable self as an artist. Dance is a powerful force in my life, one that saved me in my darkest times, and instead of simply describing this, I want to show you.

The self-portrait above captures my father, mother, and younger brother in front of our childhood home. My family has been apart for over a decade since my parents’ divorce, and our only reunions are during my dance performances.

I began dancing at age four, but as my family began to unravel, so did my passion for dance. With my world in chaos, I struggled to focus in class, no matter how much dance meant to me. After the divorce, I ultimately gave up dancing…

I’m thrilled to invite you to my thesis exhibition, Hāna Hou, at Parsons School of Design.

This project has been my heart and soul for nearly a year. Returning to dance saved my life, and each photo reflects my journey and the healing power of movement. I would love for you to join me and experience this personal side of myself I don’t share on social media.

HEYY i’ve been working on my year long project since august, im excited to share in may 2026😁

in the meantime pulling from my archives, a self portrait i took on my street shot on my iphone, edited by me as well from december 2024✨

time flies but im ready for this new year and everything its going to bring, i look forward to working with everyone and more oppurtunities💋

fight club has so many wonderful scenes to choose from, but something about the car one stuck out to me. instead of playing into an identical recreation i wanted to put forward my interpretation of the film. thank you again to my wonderful team who pulled it together last week🩵 i’m so proud of us all and can’t wait to share more from this awesome day😁🫂
