“Pressure is a privilege” The last 4 years of getting to learn and play this game have been such a blessing. Through both the medical and mental struggles I’ve learned just how strong I am. After being rushed to the hospital during a match, I didn’t know if I would have the capability to ever step onto a court again. Tennis has taught me that 75% of the game is all about your mindset; if you can’t block out the negative and keep pushing forward then you’re going to lose. So, there I was, two days later, back on the courts, dominating my bracket at regionals and qualifying for states because I knew I had so much more to prove. In short, picking up a racket 4 years ago was the best decision I’ve ever made. From never playing to now a 3x regional finalist, 2x state qualifier, multiple time all-county player and other titles is crazy work. There’s no possible way to perfectly sum up all the memories along with love I have for the game and people. The only thing I can say is thank you and I love you to my family, friends, coaches, teammates, teachers and all who have supported me along the way Deuces north east tennis 💙🤍 by @katejones016
