Welcome to my design IG! My name is Kate O’Neil and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture on an accelerated track towards a Masters of Architecture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I have always been creative minded and loved anything design since I was little. I am extremely passionate about experience based design and researching ways to create equal, positive environments that promote health, wellbeing, and universal experiences. A sneak peak into the first semester of grad school! @juliaa.warner and I created an interactive site model of North Knoxville, specifically North Broadway, exploring and imagining the revival of what we discovered to be a neighborhood spine. These entities are envisioned to work together each informing the other creating nodes of mobility, connection, and community. More to come soon😊

Forma 3 - designed and built by me! This chair was inspired by the planar characteristics of the Crooked Chair by Nazara Lazaro and the destructable concepts of the Safari Chair. I wanted this chair to be sleek and planar, but easy to move and use the nature of the wood to make it feel fun and dynamic. The chair can easily be put together with the 2 half joints that support the chair, and it can be easily slid apart into the three individual pieces as well. taken in UT College of Architecture and Design by @kateoneildesigns
