@sugarheadla ‘s final music video was released today :3 filmed in 3 days in march of ‘25. day 1 (night/beach) was cold, uncomfortable, and got us three parking tickets (😭). our crew climbed up and down about 6 flights of stairs to get all equipment to shore. it was actually insane. day 2/3 was made so much easier thanks to @coyotestudiosla for letting us borrow their space <3

it’s always so incredible to watch an idea grow. from images in your head, pinterest references, color swatches, to storyboards and execution. it feels amazing when the imagery/concepts become something anybody can see.

the final release with my former band, sugarhead, is fiiinnnaaallly out. we started working toward an album in january of 2024, so i can’t say that this EP is all i wanted us to share. still, im proud with the few songs we put out into the world—particularly our title track, lovebomb. this song holds such a special place in my heart and soul. it’s a song that romanticizes the pain in moving forward. to embrace the beauty and thrill of the unknown and what will become. this is how i feel about the band and project as a whole. i have grieved and will continue to grieve this project for a long time. sugarhead really allowed me to demonstrate my capacities as a vocalist, lyricist, performer, and creative director. though i feel there were many beautiful things left unexplored, i am deeply content with the lessons i get to walk away with. this wasn’t just a band, this was a family; a project fueled by 4 different perspectives, styles, and life experiences.

after this, there is one more thing we have to share, which will be the music video for cody maverick. NOW THAT SHIT IS MY BABY FR. i can’t wait to share the video, which was made in collaboration with so many amazing creators, particularly my best friend @by.bellavilla , who was also just generally such a vital part of this group as well. her photography and cinematography played such a huge roll in our visual style, and i am so grateful to have been able to meet her through this project. in spite of it all, im happy her and i get to walk away together (my shawty fr).

AND lastly (if you care), i created a zine that features some of my favorite little chunks or blurbs of songs we released and will never release. I’ll be making copies of it soon for anybody who’s curious :3
