My name is Kate Shellard, Welcome to my Performing Arts page! 🧑🏼‍🩰

I was born and raised in Napier, New Zealand, which is where i’m currently residing! I grew up performing in all sorts of ways; Choir, Kapa Haka, Dance Classes, Instruments (you name it, I tried it), and came to find my main passion in Musical Theatre. I performed in local Musical productions such as Grease, Oliver, Beauty and the Beast, and many more!

I attended the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (NASDA) for three years, where I gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Theatre.

Following Graduation I returned to Napier and performed in a couple more local productions, most recently as Mary Delgado in Jersey Boys, But I wasn’t around for too long!

I spent 2025 living in Florida, where I worked in the Entertainment Department as a Performer at Walt Disney World! I got to spend a lot of time working with all your favourite Disney characters! During this time I was selected to perform in the iconic Christmas show ‘Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration’ and had the opportunity to dance down Main ST USA in the Kringle Krew!

After the opportunity of a life time i’m now back in Napier, but that doesn’t mean an end to doing what I love! In 2026 i’ve had a blast working as a Dance Teacher, teaching many different classes, running workshops, and getting to create Solos for dancers. And later in the year you’ll see me in Napier Operatic Society’s production of Mamma Mia as Sophie!

I would love the opportunity to share my passion for the world of Performing Arts, and get to work with more people throughout 2027!

If you’re in the Hawke’s Bay area (or just if you love me hehe) give this page a follow, flick me a message, and let’s work together!!!
