Thanks to the giveaway hosted by @wyrdandwand that I won (my first ever book themed giveaway that I won 🥹) I got to meet the lovely @devneyperry who is one of my favorite authors of all time. Shield of Sparrows was my favorite book that I read last year and I know it will always be one of my favorites of all time. We got to celebrate the paperback version of Shield of Sparrows and I got to hear her talk about TOG, the hilarity of motherhood, and all about her new releases. It was an incredible night shared with my husband, Nichole (the owner of wyrd and wand archive), and I’m so grateful.

Did I make @mattdinniman laugh? It appears so…. New Achievement unlocked! Worth it to drive six plus hours in one night to meet one of my all time favorite authors in existence. If you haven’t read Dungeon Crawler Carl yet you are missing out. I guarantee you’ll never read anything like it and you’ll go from what the hell did I just read… to sobbing and rooting so hard for these characters you feel it in your soul. Grateful to celebrate alongside him with his new book Operation Bounce House and just to exist and be with a bunch of other proud nerds. So looking forward to reading it and seeing all the other amazing things he is going to do!

This was my first @haileyrodger.writes book and yall it was spectacular, one of the best I’ve read this year 🥹. This beautiful story of single firefighter dad Evan and Penny the woman, looking to head to a small town and find where she belongs hit all the right notes. A dad who genuinely loves his child and sets boundaries (so sexy) and he also runs into burning buildings for a living 😮‍💨. Penny is a woman looking to finally find her people and throughout this book comes into herself and the realization that she deserves more than what she’s been given in the past. The spice is perfect and the genuine found family was amazing. Can’t wait to read more of Hailey’s books!

I’ve found a new to me author in @amydawsauthor and I want to know where have I been all this time and why have I not found her sooner?! The way I devoured this whole series. It was spectacular! The ranging tropes from enemies to lovers to the arranged marriage were hilarious, so fun to read, and the spice level was perfect. If y’all are looking for a fresh witty series I really recommend you pick this up!

September reading recap!!! It was a solid month filled with almost exclusively new to me authors minus my continuous ACOTAR rereads (which I’m loving). My favorite was the eARC of the Realm Reaper by @author_julie. It has everything you could ever want in an epic trilogy conclusion 🥹 y’all are going to love it! The highlights of new to me authors being @amydawsauthor and @authorraesmyth! Amy Dawson series of all the various tropes was legitimately so great and made me laugh so many times. I have all of her other books on my TBR and I can’t wait to read them. Rae’s debut novel was spicy perfection and I can’t wait to see what she will continue to do. Let me know if y’all love any of these and what you’re reading!

💚❤️She’s racing home to get the one that got away. He’s got one road trip to convince her he’s the right brother for her.💚❤️

🤘🏼Street team road trip take 2!
In honor of our favorite holiday road trip romance, we're gifting everyone our playlists and snacks of choice! Did we get any of your favorites???

BLAIR BALINSKY’s life is in shambles. With her business just weeks from shutting down and a blindsiding break-up mere days before Christmas, a humiliated Blair has no intention of facing her high-achieving family over the holidays… Until she gets the news she’s been waiting ages to hear: Her long-time crush and town golden-boy, Mason, is headed home after years away. And he’s finally single.

Blair decides to race home and win him over before anyone else gets the chance to. But this close to Christmas, her only choice is to catch a ride with West, Mason’s reclusive, brooding older brother.

WEST MCALLEN has spent years rebuilding his life far from home—and from Blair, after his old feelings for her led to a mistake that got him exiled from town as a teen. But when Blair suddenly appears and begs him for a drive home, he’s unable to deny her. And when their road trip turns into a festive, chaotic hitch-hike across the country, West realizes he might finally have a chance with Blair—and at redemption—while out from under Mason’s shadow.
All he has to do is win her heart before she reaches his brother.

Had the best time with one of my great friends at the book bedazzling event held at @daydreambookstorecafe. I’ve never done this before but honestly had the best time. Bedazzled one of my all time favorite books that @elliekwildeauthor wrote. Best friends to lovers book that in my opinion has ever been written. Y’all definitely need to add it to the TBR if it’s not already on there. Will definitely be doing more bedazzling in the future.

Got to meet the amazing @sabaatahir last night to celebrate the release of Empire! It was incredible to listen to her talk about her process for writing her books, her passion for speaking for those that don’t have a voice, and hear a sneak peek of her new novel coming 👀. Thanks to Mr. Kateslitbookcase for being the best date as always.
